Pool Help

I am currently running a pool using The Seraphers php-mmcfe-ng, pushpool and realcoind. Whenever i run the cronjob, the users hashrate falls dramatically. one user falls from around 5mh to 700kh and then slowly rises as more shares are submitted. Is this a fault with the pool, realcoind or is it designed to be like this.
