I travelled in April through Mumbai airport and it was fine didn’t even ask to open the bag.
Did u make an international travel ?
Because ive been many places within india and these were domestic flights so there is no customs check here only luggage & baggage screening is done.
Allthough my gut says the same shall be the process with international flights as well because customs aren't suppose to open and check each & every passenger's personal luggages to see if they are carrying any unauthorized or unpaid customs products.... PERIOD !!!!
However if your luggage seems fishy and the metal dectector finds some radiation from the miners then you'l be grounded and will be bombarded with questions and might then the question of clearance also arise.
My friend said at the most 2 miners u might b able to carry, however he never tried. but he was able to come out with no custom intervention carrying 2 laptops in luggage from Dubai.
I too have plans to get miners in the same fashion.
