I would like to know your opinion on what factors cause the value of Bitcoin to drop. A brief explanation helps.
Bitcoin's market value surely is dependent on the demand that it is having from the market. So the factor that makes its market value to fall is probably a change of its demand in the market. The law of supply and demand is also applicable with this. Such that as the demand increases, its marker value is getting more expensive.
To me i think there can be a lot of reasons which are causing decrease in the price of bitcoin. i think the first reason can be that people are not taking interest in bitcoin and they want to get back their money from bitcoin. Some time we hear some bad news about bitcoin or even some roamers where there is no really, but it put a big effect on the price of bitcoin and some time due to the effect of these roomers we see a panic selling in the market.

There must be an unlimited constraint so that bitcoin prices go down, let alone the price can make other coins rise very expensive than usual ,, and can get big profits for sellers

Its the nature of bitcoin to have a fluctuating value and I guess the price drop in bitcoin price is a marketing strategy so that it will caught the eye of investors when they see how bitcoin raises a good value and pump after a sudden drop. They open up opportunity for investment which is good to maintain the market of bitcoin. If more people will invest in bitcoin it will become stable currency of the world

The exchange rate of such currency as bitcoin is formed due to active demand, as it is with other currency assets. But since bitcoins have low overall capitalization, bitcoin rate is heavily influenced by mass hype and big players.
Capitalization as in its market cap? If so, then no, this doesn't have an impact on the volatility this market experiences ~ the main factor of volatility is the on-exchange availability of coin supply and fiat liquidity.

I just don't understand why people constantly focus on market caps. The market cap is nothing more than a total valuation in fiat of all coins in existence, and that's really it ~ it contributes to nothing of useful nature.

Especially in the altcoin industry it has been clear that coins with a massive amount of coins in circulation, can easily manipulate their market cap to become even higher than Bitcoin's market, which has already happened.

BSV is not the real Bcash. Bcash is the real Bcash.

Hence, it is no surprise that some of the big digital market currency players tend to manipulate the markets. They do so for their own profit.

Manipulation, always...

Sure news can and does affect the price, but generally it is all manipulation. I dare say that many of the folk with the platform to spread FUD are the ones profiting the most at the expense of the many, particularly the newer buyers.

Isn't it always manipulation?

I don't think I've seen a real market movement for the past year or two. China was a manipulation which was partially caused because of FUD and whales dumping some of what they had in their portfolio, some of it was the average person not knowing what was going on, etc. JP Morgan manipulated the market in a bid to get more assets related to Bitcoin, iirc, Mt.Gox was an in-house manipulation, etc. I kind of get tired talking about the amount of time the market has been coerced one way or another. It's annoying to say the least.

I think the cause of bitcoin prices dropped because of reduced investment and bitcoin users more and more, like the original money if the circulation of money a lot then the price will go down can also be called inflation. but I do not yet know what set the bitcoin money.

On my opinion, bitcoin is about economics just like supply and demand the prices drooped due of some investors didint give more money. But, as the time passes by it will increase its value due to the demand of every people want to invest about bicoin and to have a good profit in the future.  Wink

No one knows when bitcoin will drop the price its because we dont know when supply and demand will come up, for me supply means seller demand are buyers if too many seller and only few are buyers the bitcoin will drop and if buyers rise up thats the time the bitcoin goes up.

many factors could be the value of bitcoin down. one example is the global influence of some countries. simpelnya what happens after the ban on china. value dropped dramatically. that's one factor that can make bitcoin value down. and vice versa with the increasing effect on the bitcoin value.

In my opinion, news and gossip are the big reason why the price of bitcoin drops. Remember when China announce to banned all ICOs and bitcoin exchanges in China ? It makes the price of bitcoin fall so hard. If good news appear about cryptocurrency, i'm sure the bitcoin price will increase.

These are the reasons why bitcoins price is dropping or going up in other words, pumping. :
1. The volatility of the market.
2. Bitcoin's price is affected when alts are pumping. It is directly inproportional to alts. When alts go up bitcoin will go down. When bitcoin goes up, alts will go down.
3. The fork.

it simple because some altcoin have potential is going up and more investor is transfer to altcoin..this is strategy of coin to reach there cap and became popular...so there doing is drop there price to persuading people to buy there coin if more people purchase this coin and reach there cap this will become in the higher price.....

When sellers outnumber the buyers, expect the price to drop. The law of supply and demand dictates when the price will fluctuate. Let's say there are 50 sellers versus 10 buyers, expect the sellers to compete with each other by lowering their asking price - and once the buyer bites it, the market price will close at that mark. Anyway, you'll get the logic eventually...

The most common reason i know why the price of bitcoin drops is when there is a bad news, yes a bad news. If there will be a bad news then it is common to see people are reacting to it and they are agreeing with the bad news and it is resulting for the market to collapse because when the majority sells their bitcoin then it will lead for having a panic selling scenario which will make the price of bitcoin drops and if the panic selling will continue then it will become worse.

Bitcoin prices may fall due to a number of factors, but mainly due to a group of investors selling it at a lower price than the market in large quantities.

One of the most known factor was no other than the news, whenever there's a bad news about Bitcoin the price goes down and whenever there's a good news, definitely Bitcoin price will soar.

News create big impact to people, specially if the speaker or announcement are came from with well known personality.

Of course because users sell bitcoin, when all or most users sell bitcoin then the price automatically drop because bitcoin using decentralization system that is all depends on the needs of the market.
