Contacts in Electrum

But how do i add contacts and their address to electrum so it will be easier to send payments?

Menu bar > Wallet > New contact

Enter the address and label

The weird thing once i quit the client and restart it the contacts disappear.

Try renaming the electrum.dat file and restoring from your Seed. Maybe the electrum.dat file got corrupted

Tried this. No dice.

this bug has been reported a few times.
I cannot reproduce it on linux, though.
