We cannot need to compared both bitcoin and altcoins, because both of this are profitable. It was depends only to us if how they we manage it, also I have no doubt that in the future this bitcoin and altcoins were stand on top. Moreover there's a possibility that paper money will vanish in any country and this savings of digital currencies are a good start.

I believe it will be important to buy tokens, behind which there is a technology or an innovative solution.
For me, these are the following tokens:
Iota, Waves, Stratis, Neo, 0x, OmiseGO, Qtum, Lisk, Ark, Kyber Network, Zen.
The list is bigger, but I give my personal preference to this.

Bitcoin will always be successful and superior to alt coins. But I think the likes of Waves, Eth and litecoin are going to be scuessful just not to the magnitude of Bitcoin

Most altcoins are created by pump-and-dump groups. What this means is that developers create a lot of hype for their coin and promise unique and interesting features. As people find out about these promises, they are more eager to buy coins at a low price, which in turn pushes the price upward. A few altcoins that have people who are actively working hard outside of pump-and-dump groups include Litecoin, CasinoCoin, and Guldencoin.

All cryptocurrencies exist on the brink of a foul. Even the most powerful of them bitcoin also does not inspire confidence. I think that all altcoins will eventually disappear or will merge with bitcoins. If bitcoin users will have not only financial but also ideological interests that bitcoin will not die. If everyone will use bitcoin for speculation that he is doomed.

You are right mate, except few altcoins, this group creates most of the coins, and they will make good money by cheating a normal people. Most of the altcoins are shitcoins people are confusing which coin to invest for a long time. I think Bitcoin is the best coin to invest for a long time investment.

The major issue in cryptocurrency ecosystem is the volatility of the market. I think it is more difficult to be feeling confident on the market movement.

So many times, TA, FA, sa and any other measure in the prediction of market movement seems not working in some cases.

It's much difficult to predict a direction for altcoin than bitcoin even when the TA, & FA are looking good or bad some altcoin will defy this and go the opposite.

Presently, am in HMQ, DGB, ETH & PDC

Bitcoin will always be superior to alt coins. After all all of the alt coins are based off Bitcoin and even use some of the code of Bitcoin.

For me and for the reality it is bitcoin,at first just think and look what is the gap of the value of bitcoin and other altcoins,it is very far and the advantages is on bitcoin.Bitcoin has done many things and achieved many achievments, people think that the ethereum or the best altcoin will be the next bitcoin, but I think it Weill take a long time to happen or rather it will not happen if the bitcoin will still exist. So for my conclusion Bitcoin is the best and the peoples choice.

I don't think it is ever fair to compare bitcoin to altcoin. First and foremost bitcoin can already be considered as the main foundation of cryptocurrency. It already has well established platform. Both has so much to offer and has great potential when it comes to gaining profit. Everything will just depend on how you handle your investment.

in 2009, bitcoin was the first cyptocurrency on the world, from that people usually use bitcoin as the main currency until now, however Altcoins was born after Bitcoin but they have many advantages than bitcoin, because they are created to replaced bitcoin in the future despite they quite weak now and bitcoin is extremely strong. so it will take time for altcoins to replace bitcoin in the future.

I will trade btc against ethereum! I am holding ehereum because slowly but surely ethereum at some point will overtake bitcoin and become the choice coin for any one coming to crypto! The development in ethereum is not slowing down while bitcoin is burden with controversies and fork! I particularly dislike the fork because it is bring bad PR!

If you want to buy bitcoins or altcoins for the current market price, open in account in one of the many online exchanges. There are a lot more options now, since the industry is booming. Bitcoin mining was also one of the early options. But the current reality is that it's way harder to get your share with all the big players around. There's also the need to invest a considerable amount of money at first. Altcoin mining is more within reach for the average person.

Hello,

As we all awaiting the outcome of the Hardfork, many investors are presently on BTC.

What altcoin will you trade against BTC after fork 🍴?

I would like to have Ethereum on my portfolio other than bitcoin. Its development roadmap looks quite promising. Because of the use of smart contracts and decentralised applications Ether is an emergent yet malleable digital asset. Also it can cross the $1000 mark within the next year as it is the most prefered platform for posting ICOs. It already has proven track records of tested technical ability to handle programmatic crisis mid flight. I will hold onto it.

For me, there are many good altcoins and these days more are coming out, so the choice will vary from one person to another depending on what one is looking for, some who sold off their portfolio to take part in the fork will want to still do ICOs of some very good projects like IMMLA, Lockchain etc, while some will want to buy alts like ADEX, OMG, LISK, etc. one definitely has to research to find out what suits him.

Just keep on holding because the price can go up and as the price of bitcoin is starting to fall you may not know if it's going to pump again. But if you want an alt coin go with ETh this is always next to bitcoin as it's market cap is increasing so you won't go with it.

Who know? Maybe one day ethereum will gain more power and will become number 1 of all cryptocurrencies.
Actually there are pile of new projects on ethereum, so everything can happen.

I love alts and trading them, without altcoins the cryptoscene would be a lot more boring.
