The Redvolution project

Redvolution is a community-driven project focusing on innovations on the Ethereum blockchain. The main product is a dedicated wallet for ERC20 tokens. It was created to be both multiplatform (Android, Chrome extension...) and multipurpose. It aims to regroup on one app everything a token owner would need : secured storage, HD wallet (Metamask-compatible) and a P2P public messaging service. When you transfer a given amount of REDV to another address, you can attach a message with it. In order to attach a message, the amount your are transfering must be greater than a blockchain-defined amount. The whole will go to the receiver, there is no such things as fees here ! We will change that amount with the evolution of the token's price on the markets in order for the price of sending a message to remain stable.

The Token

With each crypto-project comes its token. Our token REDV has three use cases : first, it is the fuel that can be used for our wallet (examples : a small amount of REDV must be sent with each message in order to avoid spam, buying/selling channels). Second, this token can be traded on the different marketplaces and, thus, allows the developping team to get funds in order to run this project (we didn't raise funds through an ICO but we airdropped the tokens). Finally, there is such a hype around tokens and cryptocurrencies lastly : issuing a token raises awareness about the project that is behind, it is kind of advertising finally.

Our token is deflationist : there is a fixed number of 21,000,000 REDV in total. But some transfers may go to a wrong address resulting in a loss of these tokens. Seems like the team is not communicating through Bitcointalk anymore. The devs have been silent for a while, but they released this Tweet yesterday:

"Dear members, All token rewards from the 1st contest have now been distributed. Thank you to everyone who participated. We are now prioritising our efforts on new exchange listings, the launch of the 2nd contest (soon) and of course development of the redvolution wallet #RedArmy"

The team communicate via Twitter and Discord channel, they also have another Telegram announcement channel as well, i think that is a good step to make Redvolution great in the near future soon. However, I have not seen any roadmap, or proper update from the Team. Last time they promised investors great things, But it seems we have to wait more.

Important info for holders of Bitcoin Red (BTCRED) tokens

On 19th December 2017, an announcement was made to swap BTCRED tokens due to an issue with the smart contract.

All BTCRED holders were asked to move their tokens to a private wallet before 31st December 2017 to allow a snapshot of those wallets.

On 3rd January 2018, air dropping began for the equivalent number of Redvolution (REDV) tokens to those wallets that held BTCRED on the date of the snapshot.

The issuing of REDV tokens is now complete. No more airdrops (swaps) will be done.

Please note that any BTCRED tokens purchased on exchanges after 31st December 2017, or not moved to wallets prior to this date, are not eligible for the swap. These tokens can still be sold on the following exchanges:
•   CoinExchange.io
•   Yobit.net
•   Idex.market
•   EtherDelta.com

Regretfully, the Bitcoin Red project is no longer supported by the original development team. This means the function of BTCRED has ceased, and the value of BTCRED tokens is likely to decrease substantially over time.

Now that I’m moving my coins out of my chrome wallet, do I have to buy Gas coin (NEO Gas) to do that? I’m having problems with this last part!

It’s telling me I don’t have enough gas (which I don’t), but this is something I want to make sure of before I figure out that’s not what’s wrong.

I cannot get my funds sent. Can anyone tell me what the correct steps are? I have a lot of money inside my chrome wallet that is BTCRED, how can I withdraw it.

It has something to do with GAS? Not even sure really, someone please explain properly.
