My colleague and I are trying to send out some BTC from armory and we seem to be getting the same error on separate computers and wallets. We haven't used it in years. We installed bitcoin core and downloaded the blockchain. I think we have the most up to date versions for both. Wallet appears to be restored and balances are shown, however, the node is always offline. I can click on 'send bitcoins' but after entering password Armory crashes! Had received a couple of errors - "A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available" and also a "Socket connection" error.

My log is here: https://pastebin.com/s53xmaje

Can someone please help??

Hi, what does update mean specifically?

I tried closing and reopening multiple times.

I tried sending BTC multiple times and continue to get the error messages.

Just tried again and got the same error - ArmoryDB.exe is not working. Tried one more time after that and then got a different error - "Coin selection failed with error - can't connect socket"

This is a new computer less than a year old. I believe I have the latest version of Bitcoin Armory installed - Version 0.96-beta-a3d01aa722. I had created the wallet on a much older laptop but I've since restored it on this computer. Do you still think I should download the older version?

Just read a couple other posts and did the recommendation of updating to Version 0.96.3-beta-2b65ac0648.

All transactions are shown and balances are there but the Node is still offline.  When trying to send bitcoins i still get an error message. This time the error is  "Transaction that you just executed failed with the following error message: Node is offline, cannot broadcast".

So, how do I get the node online?
