Its very simple. Developer just announces the price of each share of the company before the same hits the exchanges. We know after that what happens based on the volatality & performance of the company. I suggest we all buy very small buy ICO's in pennies and convert them to good profits to avoid any risk and also people like me and others who cant afford to buy big value ICO's. I still think the digital market is gonna make people rich in the near future if this kind of trend continues.

The huge number of ico's nd their risks are driving me crazy. I studied a lot of ico and i can't see a single promising project to invest some money.

I've seen that since the ICO, some crypto have gaines ridicolous % like 40.000% (Stratis), 20.000% (Ark), 7.000% (QTUM), 6.000% (Lisk) and so on.

You're looking at the winners. The majority are losers. There are over 800 coins. You cherry picked.

The main mechanisms of the projects depend on what you get for investment. it can be shares, product or redeemable coins.

Read:

3 kinds of ICOs - Protect Yourself
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2243157

Very good read! Impressed what some users do here.

But in in general I would add more categories for the Legitimate ICO when it comes to the "return of money".

Sometimes many things are avoided
because of the high demand, a coin today is only $ 0.5, but in 1 day could be $ 4 or more
if the trend of demand continues increasing day by day, it could be within 30 days to be worth $ 200
but there are also vice versa, some coin fail after ico and become "deadcoin", coin isn't worth at all

Next ICO that has to go up in value - read the whitepaper and research the industry.

ASSETRON ENERGY Token Sale is on now - an Australian company developing a blockchain p2p Investments platform for renewable energy.

This project will not only make it affordable for business or community to afford their own renewable energy - especially when they can't get a loan (ones that pay more than 10k USD per quarter in power)

The investors will receive passive income from their investments, which is also done through cryptocurrency - so lower taxes, fees and more profits.

I've heard that is quite simple. You give millions of dollars to someone that doesn't have a working product, and very often not even a prototype, and there is no institution enforcing them to deliver, so you depend on their goodwill.

But you might hear different descriptions of how it works. Roll Eyes

Hi Guys.
In the last few days I'm studying 10 hour a day this new world of cryptocurrency.
I came into the ICO thing.
Now i'm just wonderting one thing...
I've seen that since the ICO, some crypto have gaines ridicolous % like 40.000% (Stratis), 20.000% (Ark), 7.000% (QTUM), 6.000% (Lisk) and so on.

I think I can't understand how this work probably.

Does it mean that if I invested 10.000 euros in Stratis ICO, now I will have 4 Millions Euros ?
I don't think it's possible, I can't believe something so easy to get rich exist in this world.

I've been though that you have to work hard, create companies, give value to people and so on in order to get rich. Are all those bullshit ?
I'm kind of shocked. Do you know anybody who become really rich with this cryptocurrency things or those are just legends ?

I've also read somewhere that most of Crypto who get those bumps, is just because you can't convert them in real money and just use them in some close marketplace and so on.

Somebody is so kind to explain to a newbie how does this work ?
I've also seen the bitconnect scam thing... seen videos on youtube about guys making tons of money with that, how this is possible ?
You are thinking in totally positive way , here you need to think negative way also because in These days lots of ICOs are running and we are here have full confusion before the analysis and research that which one of them.is better .
Few ICOs may be scam , but most of them are legit .
But here another truth I would like to tell you is that if you will invest in the ICOs project then you should have more patience than what we need in the case of the altcoins investment . Because sometimes ICOs project take long time to launch the project fully .

haha, don't surprise, man! When you invest in tokens with new ICOs, that means you trust in the project and the team. You pay "opportunity cost" and you will get big success. If not, you lose all your money. That's the rule.  Wink

Ico are a get rich quick scheme for alot of these projects. Doesnt mean there arent very good projects out there.
But pretty much its a new generation of crowdsfunding for start up company. If you ask me though, the amount they are raising is just crazy, what happened to valuations of company? Seems like a company with a whitepaper is valuation is in the 8 digits these days.
