I understand that i have to custom add some tokens on MEW before i can transact them. I have participated in ICOs and airdrops, can i view my ethereum address on etherscan and see my tokens? (Just to check if i received tokens) or must i add the contract details before i can veiw(not transact) tokens. Thanks your reply will be helpful.

Yes you can view your myetherwallet address on etherscan, just simply click the etherscan.io in your etherwallet, you can see it below the number of eth you got. You can now look for your address in etherscan if you got some tokens.

you dont need to put the contract address when you check your transaction in etherscan..just simple you can do just paste your wallet address only to view your transactions then hit the view token to token tracke.r in that option you can see your transaction...

You don't need to add contract details to view all the tokens in your wallet on etherscan.
Ok thanks

No problem and if etherscan isnt working you can also check ethplorer. I like that website a lot and it helps me track where my coins have gone

you can see how much your token in your wallet on etherscan, no need to add it in your mew wallet because it's automatically added on etherscan because it's an explorer, it can track it due to smart contract address. but if you want to trade it,you need to add it in your mew. it's not visible in your mew because it's not a well known project or at least added in etherscan officially.

You have to set what coin you want to have displayed in your myetherwallet. Once you done that you just have to load all balances.

Yes you can, but the token must be delivered in your address and that gives you ability to see your token in there, you can see it through ethplorer also. If the token still not deliver into your address and you can't see that.

You need to add a custom token only if your tokens stay on the contract, but not on your wallet. Once you transfer tokens to your wallet, they should automatically appear there.

You never need to do anything about myetherwallet too see yout tokens. After their release they are getting onto chain you can look them up over chain. Some coins stay unnamed but most of them are there easy to look.

Thanks for all the responses, i'm very familiar with the ethereum blockchain right now. I think ethplorer is better to view tokens
