I am new to bitcoin and there is one thing which I don't really understand is the Total Received and Final Balance. I have searched some public addresses of `rich guys` on BlockChain and all I see is that they have high Total Received of BTC like 6.5xxx and their final balance is 0.12xxx.

Why is that so? Have they spent bitcoin from their address/wallet? Or have they transferred their bitcoin to other addresses? But why isn't the final balance completely zero and left some small amounts like 0.12....?
There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.

The final balance represents whats in the wallet right now while Total received is how much you received since your first transaction. If they don't match, It means that the bitcoins has been spent (not necessarily everything) and since everything is transparent in bitcoin, you should be able to see the transactions that are coming in and out of that address.

It means they didn't spend all their inputs, but did sent away most of his bitcoin..

Lets say he once received 6.38 bitcoin, and once 0.12 bitcoin.

His total received at that time would be 6.5, so would his Final Balance be, until he transfers his 6.38 Bitcoin to someone else, or another adress he owns, for example in his own wallet.

The final balance will be lowered to 0.12, but received will stay the same.

So yes, your assumption was correct. It just means they spent most of their original inputs.

Do you have the ID of the adress you are talking about? I might be able to clear it up for you?

I can't seem to find that address I was talking about. Now I will just use this example

https://blockchain.info/address/1HB5XMLmzFVj8ALj6mfBsbifRoD4miY36v

As u can see this guy has 4025 total received of bitcoin, but only 7.5 btc for final balance. Where is the remaining 4017.5 btc I wonder. Could it be in his another address in his wallet or has he sent the bitcoin away by selling or something

Spending Bitcoins from an address and transferring from ad address are basically the same thing. In both cases you are transferring those Bitcoins out of one address into another address. It doesn’t really matter the reason for the transfer.

It’s very common for people to receive Bitcoins and then transfer them out. They may spend those Bitcoins or cash them out or just move them to a different wallet or exchange. The final balance is what is left but you can see all transactions in and out.

The remaining bitcoins were spent or moved to another address.

There are over 500 pages of transactions. If you go to the 4th page, you will find some transactions that send some bitcoins from that address.

What about in the case of a casino account, where a person is ahead on the casino? Could this then reflect a negative final balance?
