The problem that I have now is that my hard disk is to small for the blockchain and so the total payment does not go through. Sender did send me the money but my wallet obviously stays empty because it will not be up to date.
What options do i have no. I dont want to buy an external hard disk and i also can`t empty my actual one because i need my data there where it is. Is the money gone now?
Definitely not.
If you don't have enough disk space for Bitcoin Core, you can simply prune it by running it by creating a file called bitcoin.conf and inserting this:
. You need to create this file at %appdata%/Bitcoin.
It will still take a significant amount of time so if you'd like, you can use a SPV wallet instead to use Bitcoins.
First, you have to extract your private key by going to Help>Debug Window>Console in your client and type in:
walletpassphrase "your walletpassphrase here" 600
dumpprivkey [your Bitcoin address here]
, replacing the information accordingly.
Next, go to Electrum and create a standard wallet>Use public and private keys. And paste your private key in.
