Hi everyone, I see that many people don't know where to spend their bitcoin offline so I started working on a website that people can add new shops/resturants/hotels or services that accept bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies as payment.
Do you think is it a good idea?
I'm working on it during my spare time and it's a no-profit project.
Please let me know if you think it might be something useful for the community.
Have a nice day  Grin Grin Grin

i believe this is called a "directory" of different services. and yes i believe it is a very good idea. but there are already some similar ones available.

some examples:
http://spendbitcoins.com/
https://www.bitcoin.com/spend-bitcoin-online
https://www.coindesk.com/information/what-can-you-buy-with-bitcoins/

there are more if you use google to find similar lists, they can give you good idea for your project and also can be good source to update your lists.

There is a FOMO brewing...

This is certainly not the newest idea, but as always success depends on the quality of its implementation. Well, also you need some marketing features in order to all the same to stand out from already existing similar projects, if you certainly want it. In any case, I wish you good luck! Smiley

Coinmap.org pretty much does what you describe. It's based on OpenStreetMap data and uses a Wiki-style approach for adding locations and ATMs. It's fairly well populated but never took quite off. Maybe you can take some inspiration from it or improve on the execution.
