Yeah, no LTC for me tonight/this morning.  Tried to switch back to BTC on slushs pool and I got connection problems there too.  It's hard to fall asleep knowing that my precious coins aren't being mined... Undecided

same issue here with coinotron--been down for at least 5 hours.

Also does anyone know anything about why in coinotron the hash-rate showing varies so much?  I have 7970 cards which should have a 600-650 kh/s rate.  In coinotron the rate varies from 180 to 1020 kh/s--the running average seems to be only 575 kh/s.  Should I base my projections on what it shows in coinotron, or what what the rgminer says?  I know coinotron makes adjustments though for  work done I don't legitimately get credit for--so in that sense the rgminer stats would be off as well.  So if both methods of estimating are flawed--what is the best way to calculate the true coin producing hash-rate (to see if my cards are working up to specs, or whether or not I have issues such as scripts, cooling, over clocking, etc.)--I am running 6 rigs with 3 cards each--total of 18 cards.

Finally I am a newbie, and when I do a search for something in the forum, I am having trouble figuring out how to display posts by date--there must be something simple I am missing.

Cheers.

Coinotron's hashrate is an estimate based off of how many shares you submit (that estimate, while sometimes spot on, can be far off), you should rely on your miner client for an accurate hashrate.

It's brutal to wait for coinotron to get back online, especially since it's been down for 12 hours (since my last share was accepted)

Dunno if you saw this:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=26727.msg2419692#msg2419692

Probably check back there for any updates.  Not much more info right now other than "Problems with Network".

I don't think this is a DDOS or ?

Because it's way too long for a normal attack.

every pool has a different hashrate refresh rate. ive seen some 10 or 12 minutes and some at 25 minutes and then some who estimate it by shares completed. Just check on each of them to find their base rule. but the client is your best bet for accuracy.

Is it back down for everyone else too right now?  It worked a couple hours ago and now it's down again for 2 hours.  At work and no way to check if my miners are still hashing Sad

BTW is anyone rode mining FTC right now with the high spike in profitability?  It's 236% more profitable than bitcoin right now!

something is up with litecoin mining and theres almost no information regarding it from those in charge of the site. I think I'm going to go back to bitcoin mining.

Not for me.  I get the "server took too long, maybe too busy" error in chrome when trying to access the site.
