There are P2Pools for all common alt-coins. Using these Pools is very easy. Just use your coin-address as your username and a random password.
Example (for Digital-Coin):
cgminer-exe -u <your_coin_adrdress> -p <random_password> -o p2poolmining.org:8001
Reducing DOA; Add +0.0000xxxx to the end of your WALLET address. i.e. -o
