What is Flare?
Flare is a social network powered by decentralised storage. Today, social networks harvest your private data and use it to sell you ads. On Flare, instead of paying with your data, users contribute a small amount of storage to the network. Your data is encrypted and kept private on the blockchain. It's a social network powered and owned by you.


Our Team
We have an all-star team based out of the University of Oxford including the founder of a company accepted into the Y-Combinator program and ex-NASA and Microsoft researchers. Our team is experienced and qualified to take on this opportunity.

Flare Token
Our token, FLR, is an ERC20 token, that will be used to purchase storage on the Flare network. When you own 1% of FLR, it would be exchangeable for 1% of the storage network. Over time, as the Flare social network becomes larger, the storage network will increase in size, meaning that each FLR will be exchangeable for more storage.

How the token sale works
We are selling 30 million FLR out of a total fixed supply of 100 million FLR. This will be sold in two portions, a presale (November 6th) and our main crowdsale (December 11th). Our presale will have a 30% discount, but requires a $25k USD minimum investment.  If any FLR remains unsold then it will be kept by Flare and distributed to early users over three years.

The crowdsale price is roughly $1 = 1 FLR, the presale price is around $1 = 1.3 FLR
