I was watching some Sc-fi about a space debris team in which they're thought of as easily replaced, lower income workers compared to the rest of the space operations. It made me wonder if there are any jobs we have today that would simple amaze someone from, say, the 1900's, but we today would think is boring. Any ideas?

Being a ChaCha answers guide would be pretty neat for someone from 1900.

You're constantly barraged with questions from users all around the country. In an hour you communicate with hundreds of people.

er...pretty much most desk jobs.

Few jobs are creative or intelligent. Most are boring and repetitive desk/service sector jobs. Then there are manual jobs.

We were made to do the manual jobs. Despite being looked down upon, those jobs are great for body and soul. Yet unfortunately they pay absolute crap. And desk jobs for the most part don't pay much better either.

No wonder they say the Western economic model is F**ked. My next paycheck I might invest in 20 BTC and hold it.....

Although I work at a desk in front of a computer, I totally agree with you.

Probably any bleak job that existed in 1900 which still exists. Just think about printing, machining, even desk jobs as has been said. Oh, and don't forget soldier. They would probably be most amazed at that.
