what is this all about??

Yesterday, I received a weird private message from a forum member. The only reason why I am posting it here is, because i reported it to the admin, and they did not respond. PLEASE BE ADVICED THAT I DON'T KNOW WHAT THIS LINK IS: when I hover over it

Hi mr.mister

please reply to me:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2267292.0

Thanks.

WHEN I HOVER OVER IT THE LINK WITH MY MOUSE IT DISPLAYS SOMETHING DIFFERENT -> http://detallesfalleros.com/index/?=mr.mister

What the hell is this??? The user which I will not YET name here did not respond. I clicked on the link and it prompted me to enter my username
and password, which I did not do.

It's a phishing link. The site mimics bitcointalk and gives you a fake warning:
Session expired, Please login again.

You did good by reporting it. I hope people won't fall for this. There's going to be more of this shit since accounts are worth a lot of money these days.

Probably lost his account in a similar manner. Or sold. Who know. The bottom line is it's a scam.

Better you report that post to the admin with the help of the link provided on the right-hand side corner of that PM, Admins will take care of it and don't forget to mention title to be Phishing Attempt. Also, move this thread to the meta section as it belongs to the forum and not to the bitcoins.

Because it's coded like this: click this link and win free bitcoins!
This is really the most basic way of hiding links. It's not like this guy is a pro hacker. Wink

It's most likely one of the hacked accounts.

There will always be scammers and so phishing attempts are natural. 2fa everything you can and don't open files from people you don't know. Scan the file first if you feel the need to open it.
