What is Follow Coin?

Follow Coin is a new platform that wants to make the crypto world accessible to everyone. Our goal is to lower the barriers of crypto investment markets by providing tools and services that make interacting, handling and trading crypto coins easy.

If you are new to the world of cryptocurrency it is often difficult to know when to buy which coin. Now Follow Coin is here to help you out. With our platform, you can easily copy experienced traders' (called 'influencers') trades, while influencers can monetize their trading knowledge and skills. Every time a trade is profitable, the influencer gets rewarded by the novice users who copied his trades. This reward is a small portion of the profit made by the copier from the trade and is paid in FLLW tokens. This way, our ecosystem creates a win-win situation for both parties.

After along time, we have several content-rich activities to share with you.

ERC 223 Token
Firstly the ERC 223 token upgrade. We are extremely excited to announce that ERC 223 has been successfully activated in the Follow Coin smart contract, everything went well without any issues. If you’re interested in the technical aspects, scroll down to the bottom of this article to see how we actually did it. The transfer-issues are now solved, the transaction costs have been lowered and your tokens can’t get lost when sending them to the wrong contract. Token Swap Update
At the time of writing more than 150 people swapped their old FLLW for the upgraded ERC223 FLLW, a total of 60 million FLLW. If you haven’t already, please make sure to swap your tokens as soon as possible.

ForkDelta
At this moment the FLLW token is only tradeable at Forkdelta. EtherDelta can’t be trusted anymore as an exchange. This is primarily due the hack and the team not responding to anything regarding the several issues EtherDelta currently has.

We recommend to stop buying the old FLLW tokens on EtherDelta. Due to this situation we will use ForkDelta as our temporarily exchange. As the name suggests, ForkDelta is a fork of EtherDelta and uses the smart contract of the latter. Nonetheless, it works on a new token listing system, it shares the same order book, API, and front-end UI, all of which are at different stages of development and can be tracked on GitHub.

Don’t worry, this is not the exchange we’ve been working on! We’ve reached out to multiple exchanges, small, medium and large in size. More information about the new exchange listing(s) coming real soon.

Technical details about the ERC223 activation process

Here are some extra technical details for the technical people in our community who are wondering what went on behind the scenes. First we whitelisted our multiSig wallet and the ForkDelta smart contract:

This transaction failed, as it should. Because the Smart Contract was not whitelisted. With a normal ERC20 contract(token) this would have resulted in a loss of coins.

Token burn (~27%) and rebalancing update

After our token sale last October we ended up with a large amount of unsold FLLW tokens. As described in our terms and whitepaper we burned the unsold 484.452.464 FLLW, leaving us with a total supply of 515.547.536 FLLW.

Because of that first token burn the difference between owned and sold tokens became too big in our opinion. As we didn’t feel comfortable with that situation, we decided to do another token burn and rebalancing. This time we burned FLLW tokens from our own holdings. Now the tokens are distributed in a way it makes more sense, and the way the community wanted it to be.

The total supply is now 375.000.000 FLLW (three hundred and seventy-five million). This was the final token burn. With this burn, it’s time for a rebalance of the tokens too. All the FLLW are allocated to the rightful owners and addresses. See the pie chart below for more information. This information will be updated soon in our white paper and communication too.
