Subject title pretty much says it.  Can anyone give me a ball park number on how much power is used by mining system with 3 7950's?

I'm trying to run some cost estimates on my power.  I'm using a Gold rated psu, have a hard drive, low wattage core i5.

Anywhere in the ball park is good. I'm thinking somewhere around 900w to 1 Kw .  Does that seem about correct?  Thank you.

(No Kill-o-watt guy here).

From the wall? Depends on your OCs, but I'd say closer to 850W.

I ran a 2x7970 and 1x7950 system @ 800W, pulling 1.8GH/sec.

it just depends on your clocking.

I run with low power costs, so I run my 7950s over 320w and over 640Mh/s each, and would tell you more like 1025watts at that level.

So, you have a nice range to work with there, depending on how much you want to overclock and what your electricity costs.

I've got three 7950s right now on a 1000 watt power supply (80+ Gold certified) and it's pulling about 930 watts at the wall, 620 kH/s per card.  I haven't tried to tweak it to save power yet, though.

I'm running 3 - 7950s (~625Mh/s ea) on a 1250w 80+ Gold Seasonic PSU and my wattage is hovering around 1050. Kind of makes me nervous about adding another card but I know those 3 are very overclocked (around 1150 & 1600) and could be pulled back in the event of another GPU.
