No, not all, but most are. The one that isn't using Bitcointalk usually doing it from their own website. Do you know Stellar/Lumens? Doubt you were here when they did their first airdrop. Their first airdrop was done from their website and requires participants to confirm their ID via facebook (linking stellar account to Facebook account).
For more recent example, I found this bitsync.io airdrop which also requiring participant to submit the registration form on their website.

Recently there was airdrop from POW Lite token which was based on Facebook id and was done from their website. Though such airdrops are rare as most of the airdrops I have see are based on bitcointalk forum.
I have also seen some airdrops which were announced on this forum but required registration into new forum. So, it all depends on how the promoters of the tokens want to conduct airdrop. The best rule is to keep tracking for the information here and almost all airdrops are announced in this forum.

There's only so much time to spend searching for airdrops when you have to look read white papers, look at coinmarketcap and find new coins & then research those. It sucks when every airdrop I find says Oct 1 and a Junior member

No, there are so many airdrop alert Sites that Google is advertising and their root is not from this forum. It's quite easy to join those ones because most of them are not requiring any forum ranks.

Airdrop is more popular now because most of them are giving free coins or tokens and just by simply signing up the spreadsheet you can already expect you'll received an airdrop when the scheduled airdrop will commence. I have received coins like Ethereumcash and Iethereum but only ECASH were sold since it has a great value but now the price is dumping and that is because there's no after support after participants dump their tokens.

The majority are through bitcointalk as they ask for your name and profile but not all.

Are all airdrops done through Bitcointalk?
You'll find most airdrop info on bitcointalk, it's just that not all directly is conducted on bitcointalk. There are multiple formats. I think that the most popular right now is through bounties on bitcointalk, but there are airdrops such as byteball's that is done via a snapshot of people's bitcoin balances. Clams also operate in a similar way.

If your looking for lots of airdrops then just fund a wallet using waves token and youll have more airdrops than you will know what to do with. Airdrops dont actually mean your going to make any money though, I think only the very few have ever amounted to anything. One from this forum a few years back was worth a fortune at a certain point but unfortunately i missed out on it

Probably because for now bitcoin is booming and more and more bounty hunter
makes some people know airdrop from just bitcointalk forums,
actually not all airdrop is done in bitcointalk, but it's mostly in bitcointalk,
since some airdrop is done through the website of the developer
and some done through social media like facebook, twitter, slack, etc.

I will not join the airdrop even if it is free, because airdrop is not all free. even having to pay means the manager is short of money and clear airdrop it is fraud, be wary of many airdrop now scams because airdrop is free

Your question's probs been long answered - but just putting my noob 2cents worth in too Over the last month - I've noted that maybe 95-98% (dont quote me on stats but like alot ok) of the airdrops I've seen alerted on other places can be found here. They are announced/explained and discussed here and some require BTT ranks etc, but most divert you off the forum for sign-up via their own website or a google form. I don't think I've actually signed up to any here directly on BTT (or received anything yet...) but I got some POW which required a facebook sign-up. Think i got the alert from my telegram source on that one. Anyhoo others just want an email and MEW address and ur BTT id's or something. Also everyone complains about all the sh*t/scam tokens these days - but I want to complain about all the airdrop bot signups - these people ruin it also with their multiple IP signups/newly created accounts etc and are the reason why some airdrops require account ranking and/or account aging tiers
