I wouldnt count on it, they also didn’t support BCH before. Kraken fully supported the fork. Best is to anyway be fully in charge of your coins.

Bittrex will support  bitcoin gold because have just put offline the wallet:

"Wallet Offline for 24 hours pending BTG fork - Deposits/Withdrawals will open after block 491407"

you can put them into your wallet.  There may have lots of forks  at next, so we can't hope a exchange to support all.

Poloniex is still adopting wait and see approach to bitcoin gold just the same thing that happened last time. I believe they are going to list bitcoin and once it is listed then they are going to give free coins. For now the exchange platforms that has come out openly that the will support bitcoin are yobit and hitbtc and we expect some offline wallet that will support bitcoin gold.

Poloniex did honor BCH. If you had btc in polo you got the exact same bch few days after the fork.

I have not heard anything about Poloniex yet, what happened with the last for was that they said they would not support it, then the fork happened and they changed their mind. They then gave out coins to everyone who held btc at the time of the fork. The problem with this was that the price had dipped dramatically compared to when it was listed on bittrex for example.

Jaxx wallet will support BTCgold?
Check BTG web-site https://btcgpu.org/
"What wallet should I keep my BTC in to make sure I will receive BTG?
Any secure Bitcoin wallet that gives the user exclusive control of the cryptographic private keys is a suitable location to store your coins prior to the October 25 fork. Some wallets may offer you direct access to your BTG, while others may require you to take additional technical steps. Verified wallets that support BTC and BTG side-by-side will be listed on the Bitcoin Gold home page. We will publish guides for retrieving BTG from the most popular wallets, including Bitcoin Core, Electrum, Mycelium, hardware wallets, paper wallets, and more."

In one word: YES

did anyone has been locked btc wallet in bittrex?
Bittrex stated that they will support bitcoin gold because they have unreliable code. They are unsure of the safety of these coins and wait until the situation becomes clearer. It seems to me that this is an attempt to buy time in order to study the demand and not to make mistakes. Maybe it's one of the reasons for the reduction in the price of bitcoin today. Investors do not believe in bitcoin gold.

does anyone know if it still counts if i have my bitcoins on my margin account as collateral on poloniex?

if i have x btc on margin do i get x btg as well (assuming they list it)?

i mean i am in posession of the bitcoins. they are just not on my exchange account but on the margin account instead.

No. You only temporarily possess but not own them, so the BTG should and will instead go the money's real owner who lend that BTC to you in the first place.
you misunderstood me

i am not talking about lended btc. im talking about my own margin account balance that i need to have to even begin margin trading.

so i transferred bitcoins from my exchange account to my margin account. those bitcoins now serve as collateral in case of a loss.

my question is if i need to put them back on my exchang account.

Basically last time everybody borrowed BTC on polo to get BCH. Right now their BTC lending rate isn't 5% (like last time) so most likely they will not honour it.
