I can't for the life of me safely move my BTC to a new address.

I've had the coin since 2014 but I am totally new to this.

I'm using mycelium on an android.

My BTC is in 2 "other addresses,"  NOT the HD account.  There is zero in the HD account.

I'm trying to "sweep" the BTC to another address so I can safely claim the BCH without jeopardizing the BTC.

I've followed numerous tutorials specifically for mycelium that didn't work for me b/c the coin wasn't in an HD account.

I've managed to "export" the BTC to an electrum wallet running on android but can't find any options for sweeping.

It now appears on both wallets.

Any help will be greatly appreciated I've been working on this for days in stead of getting sleep.

Do you have the private key for this address?

If yes then just export the private keys into electrum, then send the bitcoins contained inside that address to a new wallet. Then you can import your empty private key into a bitcoin cash supported wallet client or whatever.

If you don't have the private key, try exporting it.

Ok so just do a transaction with myself? Then export the key from the first wallet to a BCH wallet?  That sounds too simple.  Do I have it right?  I should have come here first...

My only issue with this is how do I account for fees?  I want to clean out the wallet completely.  Is that possible with a transaction where I'll be guessing at the fee?

Mycelium and Electrum are both wallets meant monstly for the "technical users" the interface is not very user friendly and some features are kinda advanced for most users, which might complicate things as it's in your case. I'd go with some more user-friendly wallets if I were you, have you though about switching to something like Exodus? They are by far the most user friendly wallet and it's quite easy and intuitive to quickly learn how the wallet works, there is an internal conversion system, where you can simply change via shapeshift your tokens to anything else you might want (supported by the wallet), and there are many customizable options, such as the layout (visuals) and displaying specific currencies (EUR, USD, NZD etc.) if you figure the issue out for Electrum/Mycelim, I'd recommend to switch your wallet to Exodus.

I will look into exodus.  That is one of the reasons I want out of mycelium.  Does it work on android, is it open source?  I'll look these things up myself but no reason why the answer shouldn't be here for others.

I'm being forced to become a technical user.  I want to be able to be a technical user.  I have to be a technical user to figure this out.  I want to know everything I can grasp about BTC since so far I believe in most of it and want to put my money where my mouth is.

Yep.  Send away the BTC and then export the key to a BCH wallet.  You can find BCH wallets on their official website.

Electrum has dynamic fee estimation.  If necessary, you can decide your transaction fee in satoshi/byte using this site to figure out how long your transaction will take to confirm.

The features in those wallets are quite important to the average user and the "user friendly" wallets don't always handle the coins that well.  It's important for users to set their own fees for example, because the fee estimation in a lot of wallets results in people paying super high fees.  Bitcoin Core and other full nodes are what I would regard to be "technical" wallets.
