Predicting the future is rather a misty matter. Well, maybe only if you are a gypsy, a cookie with a note or a palmist. At DataTrading we don’t belive into accidental occasions that can bring people a forture or into lines on the hand which tangle and guarantee you a cloudless future. At DataTrading we do believe in science.

Remember when Anton and Alex went to Asia to meet with potential investors, users, traders and all the people interested in our platform? Well, one of the connections they made intoduced Anton and Alex to his friend – the Professor of Mathematics from Hong Kong – Liu Chang. He has an over 40 years experience and his works were devoted to Big Data analyses, writing self training scripts and neural networks.

He got so interested in our project, that suggested checking our theory. It was excited for us well – kind of a proof of concept from a guru of Math. So, after signing the NDA, we gave him access to our codes, documents and everything we worked on. And guess what? He called us a month later, thrilled, talking over the phone so fast, that we could barely understand the words. He congratulated us and said, that this would truly be the changing point in forecasting trading. He spent two hours on the phone with our Head of Data Science Bohdan and CTO Alex, exchanging thoughts and suggested getting back to us from time to time, as he wants to be the part of this.

In #DataTrading office, we bought a huge banner “Correction is sacred!”. You should not think that this is sacrilege, we just want to convey the information that ANY investment tool, either barrel of oil, or ounce of gold, or Apple shares,or the cost of Bitcoin, does not grow exponentially up. Never!?
Any course ALWAYS makes a rollback, correction. The reasons are very different: the accusation of the head of the company in sexual harassment, the war in the region or the nationalization of wells, the rise in price of related resources, for example, copper and sugar cane or, the banal reason may be Christmas and New Year holidays! To analyze such kickbacks, you do not even need to be an analyst and study for an MBA.
This is called diversification. Diversification is when one diversifies his investments in various instruments. And yes, this is a great talent, this is the guarantee of your financial success!
The correction of #Bitcoin, as well as the entire market of blockchain assets, was predicted by all professionals, the only thing that I personally expected it to happen in the first days of January 2018. And if you did not fix it in the cache, this is not a reason for panic! Many angry crypto users claim “Bitcoin collapsed”. There will be the other 80% jump from March to May 2018 in the price of Bitcoin. Any market is governed by greed and fear. These two feelings change each other in human souls, like winter and summer in nature, it is naive to say that winter will be eternal, like summer. And greed will conquer fear again!

Last Thursday our Head Data Scientist – Bohdan was a speaker at the Microsoft conference in Unit city.

The presentation consisted of 2 parts. The first was devoted to the architectual peculiarities of the networks. Bohdan demonstrated how to create basic networks, told about the RNN, LSTM networks’ architectures and reviewed their components in more details. He also compared the FFN, RNN, LSTM in action. He taught his audience how to teach the networks to predict the amount of the solar energy (approximately the same models are used while trading forecasting).

Furthermore, Bohdan demonstrated the importance of understanding the gradient descent methods and the training process. Two methods that don’t have much differences, but produce such opposite results. Later on, he gave some pieces of advice on training neural networks and hardware. Of course, there’re plenty questions from the audience and a brief discussion.

Every day I’m being asked what is Bitcoin. It’s not an easy question and I always start my answer with the history of money.

First people considered beautiful shells, wool or salt, then precious stones and metals as money. Precious metals have been considered as money for a very long period of time, but this resource is impractical and limited in quantity.
This is how banks and paper money were established. Gold and silver were kept in banks, and they were given papers specifying the amount of metal kept in the banks in exchange.But when the states refused to return gold to European countries after Second World War, fiat and unsecured money were created.

Finally, the world departed from the gold standard in 1971. Yes, USD is unsecured since 1971!
But this is not the end of the history of money.
