If you can code a coin you can pump and dump one if you put effort into it, newbies fall for all these new alts all the time. There are very few good ones though, PXC is a good one, and is still cheap, and there is a couple more, other than that, they are all junk...

Definitely don't invest any money into a new coin unless you think it has a good reason to exist. If its simply a copy of another coin with one or two settings changed, then its most likely a "scam" coin which will most likely never have any value in the long run.

If you wanna 'get rich from launching a coin', then implement a new feature and innovate, if you have enough knowledge to launch a coin, spend just a little more time to try and do something new/different. At this point all the copy cats have had their day if you ask me, I don't think we will see too many more 'junk coins' take off in the near future.

best to invest in a coin that has a good dev team. innovation may follow if not present at launch.

If I made another "Ripple" type coin, would that be able to make money?
I would make it open source, etc. so it will not be a scam.
