Hello,

are this the correct steps, to keep my BTC the whole time during and after the fork secure and also get the free BTG?

1. Keep BTC in a wallet where I have the private key.
2. Waint until fork + airdrop of BTG is done.
3. Move BTC to a new wallet, where I control the private key.
4. Move BTG to an exchange and sell it.

If one makes this step by step, will one then be secure against replay atacks and so on?
Is step 3 necessary and recommended?
Or do you prefer an other way to be secure and also get BTG and be able to sell it?
Transactions must be included in a block to be properly completed. When you send a transaction, it is broadcast to miners. Miners can then optionally include it in their next blocks. Miners will be more inclined to include your transaction if it has a higher transaction fee.

Op, that is pretty much all you can do get another portion of free cryptocurrency. I heard that you can trade BTG on Yobit if you like.
I would see and watch how the price of the BTG will shape in the future. Maybe it will be successful?
After all this is free money anyway, there is no need to be hasty and sell everything right away.

The same thing also I think everything is easier again without having to make a mistake so everyone does not have to think of something difficult there are some trading sites have announced to be added, I think hitbtc is also quite interesting where we can get our BTG. and sell it

At the moment I can't deposit BTC at HitBTC.
When I click on Deposit +BTC I get that error: "An error occurred, please try again later"
"Wallet address" is empty and stays empty, also if I click on "Create new".

It's the same method on how we got our bitcoin cash and I guess this will be the proper way of claiming our bitcoin golds. I'm waiting for theymos' tutorial about this but there's nothing that's been popping to our news bulletin.

And when you try to visit the website of btcgpu.org still there's no certain explanation and how we can claim it.

I'm guessing that they are suppose to estimate that every bitcoin holders knows how to claim the coin by the same method with the first fork of bitcoin cash.

If you just want to register at HitBTC, take into consideration that some time is needed for the validation of the new account...

But other Coins work to deposit. I get the error only, when I click on deposit BTC.

In first HardFork, I kept my Bitcoin on Bittrex. And I have received BCC on Bittrex. Because Bittrex supports HardFork. And, I already move my Bitcoin on my Bittrex wallet for next HardFork. You can try this.

I did exact same steps to get Bitcoin Cash on previous fork, will do same now. Despite that BTG devs claims that have replay protection, I think it's safer to send bitcoin to a new wallet before claiming Bitcoin Gold airdrop. But only few hours before fork there are still no wallet for Bitcoin Gold. On BTCGPU website only Coinomi listed as BTG supported wallet, lookks that I will have to use this wallet to get BTG.

My btc in yobit has already earned btg, and the fork has not even happening yet.  Do you think this is normal guys?  Some said it was fake,  some said it was advance payment from yobit.  It was really confusing I thought btg will emerge after the fork not before.  Anyone here received btg from yobit before the fork?

Yes, but you may also try Yobit, Binance or Poloniex you might find one that is still accepting bitcoin among these few exchanges.

I have other way to secure your bitcoin and receive some of BTG.
1. Your old wallet were you control your private key
2. Create new wallet and put your bitcoin in it.
3. Wait for the fork and until you receive your BTG
4. Once fork is done transfer your bitcoin to your old wallet.
5. Lastly you can use your new private key to check your balance in BTG

GOODLUCK TO ALL.

Just make sure that the wallet in which you are saving your Bitcoin will give away free bitcoin gold to their bitcoin holders. Otherwise, you will end up with zero bitcoin gold. I think the better way is to store them to a wallet, or even exchanges such as bittrex, that already made their official commitment to provide bitcoin gold to those people who are holding bitcoin in their wallets. After all, this happens for a few days.
