As Bitcoin's Price increase what would happen to Altcoins?

With the the ever increasing price of Bitcoins, I believe it is dwarfing the market cap of all other coins (altcoins). If this trend continues would people invest in altcoins? What are your thoughts?

then try to invest in ico, try to research the new and trusted company in ico. you can make profit from there. altcoin somehow can make a profit or loss if you enough smart to invest and trading them.

When bitcoin price increases, altcoin price will go down and when that scenario continues, altcoins will continue to price down. If altcoins are still pricing down, the investors of altcoins will lose trust or hope on investing that kind of cryptocurrency. If that scenario continues, that coin will have no value.

Nothings changed mate still hoping for more success and more improvements . Theres still more spaces on even bitcoin to improve so it is still a competitive business no one will waver until sucess well i guess this is business you have to gamble something and take it for granted sometimes

The correlation would imply the sum of both beeing a constant. 2017 has proven that we can soar instead.

We should be looking out for the total size of the 'coinomy. Total sum of alts and bitcoin added together.
If whales dump their alts for dollars, for pumping bitcoin onto a new ATH we are actually loosing total substance in the process. And then, that correlation is observable. And those news about ATH fizzle fast, people calling "Bubble" and stuff.

...right now BTC dropped down below that $5650 starting point from 10/20/17 which is, have to admit, stressfull for me to take. I was looking at futures (biweekly) who had been looking bullish.
Maybe the topshelf alts are worth a look again, ETH, XMR of course, ZEC even? Found a really obscure DAG based alt but their dev team just splitted into halves

Be patience and the more altcoin coins player will be back again from the bitcoin because they are getting what they want from the bitcoin itself. I kinda feel of that will take the more time to happen. people in hype of bitcoin gold.

so far whenever bitcoin is rising or falling the altcoins continue to get dumped a lot and go down drastically. but nothing really happens to altcoins. they still exist and they will get pumped at some point in the near future after the bitcoin rise and fall ended and it became more stable.

it seems to me like they take turns. when bitcoin is moving, everyone exists altcoins and goes in bitcoin. and when bitcoin stops some small group go back to altcoins to trade them. and that means a pump after bitcoin stable price.

Hard fork was already over and your prediction gave an opposite result. Most the altcoin inflates price and cryptocurrency market cap increased. Thanks to BTG hard fork FUD, Altcoint market alive again and back to bullish trend, I hope that most of the altcoin will recover their original price sooon.

In my experience here to earn bitcoin, ico is one of the resources for you to get bitcoin profit, then Trading. These two are the major factors for us to have bitcoin earnings. Beside there still legit ico where you invest in it as long as you know it is really potentials and legit.

Last 50 days has been so hectic for crytpo currencies . Continuous forks, Negative statements, bans on ICOs, shutting down exchanges etc... it's alot to take in and the prices of Alts have declined way too much in the couple of days. These are simply speculations, not statements about the real case with coins on the market. I remember when in May btc was growing and so did most of altcoins, so people kept saying that btc always pulls altcoins together with it. Now the situation is mainly different and you say that it's vice versa. There are no strict correlation at all. Now btc is a bit down and alts are up, for example, but it doesn't mean we can predict what would happen tomorrow if btc keeps going down, for example.
