Hi there. Just as the title suggests.

Miner: Claymore 10.0 -mode 1 (eth only)
GPU: 3 GTX 1060's. PL 70/Core 0/mem +675.
Temps 68-73C across all cards
OS: Win 7 Pro 64 bit.
Pool: Ethermine.org

The rig has been running with the same hardware for months but Ive started noticing a huge rise in stale shares in the last week or so.
Any idea how I can reduce the number of stale shares please.
Thanks.

Yep from fork almost always I have much biger stale shares then in past.
Maybe problems with miner or with pool, we need find where is issue.
Do someone mine with etherminer or some other miner to compare stales with clymore?

With ethminer stale shares are about the same , some hours are high some hours are low, thats why i stopped mining ETH it doesnt worth the efforts except if you own a big mining farm.

After Byzantium update block times are shorter now. If your gfx card is computing a share from a block which was already found, its a stale share. Stale shares are a bit higher for everyone now but mine are still  around %3 on ethermine. If you have low hashing power i suggest you mining on a less crowded pool.

I'm not sure, but try to change the poole and also reduce the overclocking from memory. May be it is can help you.

Above correctly, we recommended changing the pool to a Dwarfpool. I myself have long since left the Ethermine.
And what does the miner say about the slates? In HWinfo there are no memory errors?

Everyone is experiencing this due to lower block times.  Have to wait for Pools to fix it or we just deal with it.

I don't have any memory errors, I'll try Dwarfpool

Guys try editing your batch file to include "-ethi 7"

(default is 8 ).

Report back on whether the share have gone down.
Ive noticed a 2-3% drop in stale shares.

I think this is indeed the issue as I mine on ethermine and only have a few % total stales, but I have a fair amount of miners pointed there. If I look at an individual miner's stats they can range anywhere from 0% stales up to 8%, but the average of all my miners is only 3%.

So while the shorter block times are causing more stales in general, I think it is just more noticeable for smaller hashrate users than it is for larger miners. It's probably just normal variance and you don't notice it when the stale rates are lower, but when you see a 8 or 10% in the stales column you think suddenly something is wrong. Check back in a few hours and I suspect it will have dropped again.
