Ethereum up 10% in 20 mins?!

We are 8 blocks away from the BTG hard fork and the price is already volatile. Bitcoin went down and Ethereum went up. Is there some whales dumping bitcoin now before the fork? Any thought?

I should think about that was a short hype to the ethereum, Many people are expecting to receive the free bitcoin gold and dump it for altcoin. But just waiting for another clue about the chart of ethereum.

ETH has got some great potential, Too many ICO and projects running on its blockchain. The entropy of ETH will continue to grow, I feel sad for the Original Ethereum "ETC". We will have a great swing on ETC also very soon as the price has been bubbling around 300$ since a long time.

Main reason was that there was a panic dump in bitcoin for whatever reason. Ethereum and bitcoin have an inverse relationship with each other in terms of price so it seems right now, and when one goes up the other will go down and vice versa.

Also, ethereum was down big time for a long time now and it was due for a pump.

We were expecting Ethereum to hold its support zone of $275 to $280, and exactly it looks like the Ethereum has jumped back to above 300$ level from the low of 275$ odd levels. And there should be some price volatility because of BTC hard fork.Also Ethereum is a decentralized platform that runs smart contracts applications that run exactly as programmed without any possibility of downtime, censorship, fraud or third party interference.so Ether will jump to 350-400$ level in next 4-5 months.

well what did you expect? after any price rise (even if you ignore BTG fork) there must be a correction and the drop was less than 10% which is already over and price of bitcoin has recovered back up again. and that is the natural movement of bitcoin for as long as it was listed on exchanges and has been traded.

as for ETH, again what did you expect? after a lot of dumps and a large amount of price loss, it should recover some of it back. that is why trading exists. you buy at the bottom after a severe dump and sell after the reversal happened and before the dump continues.

That’s just bullish trend and nothing much. To achieve good percentage of hike ethereum needs to pumped to more than 500 USD per ether. This much moves can be seen without fork situation too. So it’s not about fork for sure. The thing bitcoin is dumping might be because most of the people are now gettin the bitcoin gold and there no more need of bitcoin to be stored like that. Now this is period where people will think bitcoin will go down in price and they probably don’t want to loose money. This chain of event will be major after some period and bitcoin will loose most of the value soon.

Eth is way past due, it should be sitting at around $500 no less. I forsee $800 by the end of the year if things go right.

Ethereum price is too low compared to bitcoin, even if you include trends between em. I can see ethereum rise too. Bitcoin may or may not fall down but ether will be balanced by support for sure.

I think some may be doing that. If you values bitcoin but you think bitcoin gold will be worthless, then probably your best strategy is to move alts to btc ahead of the fork to take advantage of the rising price, then move back to alts just before the fork happens to avoid falling price.
