It is an Equihash algo, any GPU that can mine Zec could also mine BTG. however mining will start on november.

BTG miner – It's usual equihash miner (Claymore for example)
I think you can mine to your BTC address, and this address will stay with you on BTG network.
And http://btgmine.com have posted manual already.

Yes we will need to wait until November, once you can get a wallet address and exchanges start accepting BTG deposits.

It will be interesting to see what the profitability works out as in comparison to ETH.
