Hi all.

Can anyone recommend me a good Android phone.

I used an iphone for a few years and really liked it, but it died about a year ago and i've been using an old brick from the 80's ever since.

So it's time to get a new one, but in the last year I've really gone sour on Apple and Jobs and everything I've read about the appstore = bad.

So it seems I might get an HTC Desire HD, it looks pretty cool, anyone here own one?

Cheers,
Alex

p.s. No need to take service providers into account; I have a SIM and will just be buying a phone outright.

Yup using a HTC desire HD here and absolutely love it. Can't fault it really. OS is awesome. Got an auto firmware update recently which has added some nice new features.

Highly recommended.

Thanks! So, as a more general question (from someone who has never used an Android phone), can the OS be upgraded at any time (for free), or does the phone rely on a specific version?

(Sent a little tip to the address on bitcoins.lc)

I believe you can play around with Beta's if you 'root' it. Not tried that tho and dont see the need.

I have the SE Xperia Arc, I like it, and it's thin enough to have in tight jeans pockets.

Sorry, I can't help you with your lost password.
