It depends where you are holding your funds. If you were holding them on any exchange which supports btg you will be credited with btg within a few hours. If your exchange does not supports it you are going to have a hard time getting it. And if you are on a private key wallet it might take 25-30 days for btg wallet app to come. |

Not mandatory. If you are holding your wallet with an exchange or any thirdparty wallet. You get bitcoin gold only at their mercy. If they wish to support it. Many major exchanges are not supporting it. But Hitbtc and yobit are supporting it and starting its trade. |

OK, I use wallet with private keys. Why need wait 25-30 days? Is wallet app not complete yet? |

right now bitcoin gold is like a promise of something to happen in the future and nothing more. if the developer decides that it is too much work to actually create this coin, it will no longer exist because it has not yet started! the code is not even complete yet  the other user said 25-30 days as an estimation of when they may complete the code. i have heard many different dates actually. someone even said it will start in 1 November which is in about 7 days. |
Weak hands have been complaining about missing out ever since bitcoin was $1 and never buy the dip.
Whales are those who keep buying the dip.

I'm not having any prejudice with Bitcoin gold, however, if I'm giving a chance to choose between Bitcoin and Bitcoin gold - I will definitely go with the first option.
PS: The "Bitcoin gold" reminds me of the good old "egold", which is already doomed for the sake...

As Bitcoin Gold has a subsequent pre-mine period, we do not yet know when the coin will launch. Bitcoin Gold does not launch immediately at the point when the chains diverge (block 491407). According to group representatives, the new Bitcoin Gold network is going to be open to the public by November 1st. The ONLY thing anyone is able to do right now is trade Bitcoin Gold on exchanges that support it. You will not be able to mine, send or receive Bitcoin Gold until the mainnet is actually created. |

I've got it, and only yobit and bleutrade can redeem it now, Bitcoingold has not officially announced its current activation and there is still a lot of risk if current use, activation and mining will be used safely on November 1st. But if I wait too long I worry the price will shrink.

Anyway, it already happened , just make sure you will improve your post quality.
Nov 1 is the activation of BTG, you can wait until then to redeem your BTG and trade it, but if you want to take risks then redeem it and trade it now.
