I think I will be mining if they don't sell. A lot?  Grin How many times do I need to repeat: I don't care if you don't have the money to buy them? Why would that affect my decision on the price? You either buy at my price or I don't sell and keep mining with them until they pay for themselves and over - since my order is just 2 months from the opening, I am a year ahead of many others.

I love your arrogant and unrealistic attitude Smiley

Provided that August pre-orders are delivered by the end of July (not very likely) and at just 15% difficulty increase per interval (very unlikely), 60 Gh/s Single SC will never make more than 95 BTC (sum of a geometric series). The difficulty will by skyrocketing in the coming months so the total revenue will actually be much lower than that.

I have an early August pre-order myself but I wouldn't dare asking more than 60 BTC for it.

Anyway, good luck with your sale. Smiley

oh, thank you, I love my arrogant attitude myself!

These were purchased to be mining, not to be sold anyway. 95? Who knows. End of July will be for the 'up to dec 2012' - mine are from August and will ship any day now - directly to local community hosting. We will see if they make 95 or more. Until then - well, the offer is still valid.

I am sure the same kind of comments were all over GPU mining when CPU mining was all that was known. Yet what happened?

It is quite funny. You keep saying any day now. Last I checked BFL has not even shipped all the units from first day orders. I would be expecting your order around the same time you ordered it last year.As far as 95btc goes, I think that is quite generous. I would say more around 60 and barely. The mining unit makes the most when you buy it and then just continues downward.

Nobody knows that - yet you keep stating it as a fact.

Actually, I'm willing to bet 10 BTC that they will NOT deliver orders 'up to December 2012' (whatever that means) by the end of July.

well - that's BFL statement, not mine. They claim to be able to ship up to December 2012 - which does not concern me, because I'm at 3rd of August, which is ... well, 3 days past July 2012 Wink

they're 3 - and the value of bitcoin just fell to 80 usd - so your 125 BTC are falling in value, 67 btc per 60 GH/s SC is too low, I never was and never will be interested in selling these in the 60s.

67-70 BTC per device seems absolutely appropriate given where your pre-orders fall in the queue (quite a ways away), and the relentless increase in difficulty.

My offer stands at 125 BTC for a pair.

My offer in queue? You mean, my 4K order out of the 70K right now? You mean the 3rd of August, less than two months from the date the products were announced? Smiley

I know that the more I argue, the more you will stand at your point - but 70 is just not enough. Your desire to make a ROI in 2 months is admirable, but most investments don't pay out as fast. If you make a better offer, I might think about it.

You are acting like these units will ship tomorrow, when in fact nothing is further from the truth.  BFL has been shipping June 23rd orders for 3 weeks now.  If it takes them that long to get through day 1 orders, you have a loooong wait.  In that time, difficulty will go much higher and the 2 month ROI you seem to think is written in stone will be a sad fantasy.

I am not trying to be a dick here, I just think you need to be realistic about your expectations.  There are many variables, and none of us know exactly how they will play out.  But please, don't try and sucker someone in with promises of these being "just around the corner" thus enticing them to make projections based on current difficulty.
