BTC Gold on Bittrex?

I had BTC in my Bittrex wallet hoping to get Gold. Looks like they are not supporting BTC Gold trading but will they atleast give BTC gold for us to withdraw?

Bittrex has confirmed that users will receive the BTG and will probably have to wait until November. However, they do not allow BTG exchange, unlike the BCH. This seems to be a big obstacle for BTG.
What do you think will be the future of BTG?

Future? BTG will be dumped just like BCH and many people will used to get enough since there are some split chain already with the bits and the other next will became weak when days will past and the hype of the coin will be unnoticed so better monitor for the price growth of that coin if you have and sell it wherever you will see some huge pumps coming on that coin.

I think they issued a statement as regards giving bitcoingold but won't be trading it. I think it will be available for withdrawal soon.

Based on what I read, people who hold the BTC will still receive bitcoin gold on their wallet for the exchanger. But it is not fully supported by Bittrex. But you can withdraw and deposit the exchangers who support the btg. Just like yobit. So do not worry because you also get Bitcoin Gold.

Most probably you should be getting bitcoin gold only for withdrawal. You can trade it in hitBTC. I don't know why yobit listed bitcoin gold before the fork. Binance and bitfinex also joined in later on.  And bitcoin gold is valued around 400$ at the moment, and now rich people will get even richer and poor people will remain the same ,as the free money would be hardly worth anything.

It's trading at $115 or 0.021BTC on Bitfinex. Unfortunately, it's not possible to arbitrage the differences on the exchanges as there is no publically available blockchain to move the BTG coins on yet.

Statement on Bitcoin Gold BTG
If you have a Bitcoin (BTC) balance on Bittrex during the BTG snapshot block 491,407 occurring approximately on October 23, 11pm PT (6am UTC), you will be additionally credited the equivalent amount of Bitcoin Gold (BTG) on a 1:1 basis. i.e. 1 BTC on Bittrex held during the on-exchange snapshot will get you 1 BTG.  BTC held on orders will also be credited.  Only the BTC held on your account is eligible for BTG.  Full details below.

 

Bitcoin Gold [BTG] is a proposed digital asset.

At this time, the information and codebase presented by the Bitcoin Gold team is not in a functional state and Bittrex will not commit to opening a Bitcoin Gold trading market.

Bitcoin Gold intends to perform a wallet balance snapshot at Bitcoin block 491,407 but the actual Bitcoin Gold network will launch publicly at a later undetermined date and time (the only guidance is the statement "after the launch on Nov 1").

Bitcoin Gold does not currently have:

Fully formed consensus code
Implemented replay protection
Adequate code for testing and auditing
Publicly known code developers
Bitcoin Gold codebase also contains a private premine of 8,000 blocks (100,000 BTG). Please be aware that if a market does open there is a possibility of the developers selling their premined BTG on the open market.

When considering adding tokens to Bittrex exchange we look at the risks involved. Bitcoin Gold does not satisfy our criteria for safety for our users. Taking a snapshot of the Bittrex exchange Bitcoin wallet is also a large disruptive undertaking that requires over 24 hours of preparation (Bitcoin deposits and withdrawals are also suspended during this time) and should not be taken lightly.

Bittrex will close deposits and withdrawals of Bitcoin 24 hours prior at block 491,263 to the BTG snapshot block 491,407 occurring approximately on October 23, 11pm PT (6am UTC). If any BTC deposits you had sent to Bittrex are not settled (e.g. marked as pending) by block 491,263 you may not be credited with BTG. The wallet will remain closed until the on-exchange snapshot is complete. Trading will remain active during this time.

Bittrex will make all reasonable attempts to credit our users BTG but until we have a fully supported wallet, we can neither guarantee tokens or consider creating a market. We will continue to monitor the state of the codebase and network. We'd also like to encourage the BTG development team to reach out to us.

I don't even know whether its has been forked already yet its being traded on an exchange site while the official site is saying on the 25th. Its just true that the rich will continue to get richer by the time every major wallets providers are ready for BTG the rich would have cash out while the rest of the majority will scramble for the remaining. It's already been forked so everyone knows how much BTG they will get but while the developer is private/pre-mining his 100,000 coins there is no publically available blockchain to make transactions on. Some exchanges have already credited their customers with the amount of BTG equal to their balance at the time of the checkpoint block and opened markets for it to be traded. Other exchanges are not planning on trading BTG so are waiting for the blockchain to be available for their customers to withdraw on.

I'm sure BTG will succeed unlike the failed BCC,, and BTG prices can catch up with BTC

I doubt that BTG will succeed compare to BCC, that's ridiculous. Instead, Btg will be next to Bcc that will also fail. Of course from the start it will pump up the value of course then after 1 month it will goes down quickly just like what happen to Bcc.

I mean the checkpoint block has already happened so everyone who had BTC at the time can know how much they will get so Bittrex will already know how much to credit each customer. Go back and read the statement from Bittrex I posted above. It says they have no intention of making a market in BTG but will make it available for withdrawal when the blockchain is available.

My question is whether as of now I'm clear to use the amount of BTCs I have on Bittrex (I mean use for trading). Or do I need to keep the amount of BTCs in Bittrex longer and untouched. This is what is not clear to me.

I'm pretty sure this cleared that up.

Yes, it's happened already so you are free to use it. On Bitfinex I already sold all my BTG. These forks happen at a specific block on the original chain so everything is referenced back to that point in time. In this case, it was block 491,407 and we're now at 491,639.

AFAIK they haven't made an official statement yet when will be our BTG credited to our account, I will only receive a small amount if converted to dollar and it seems like I am already losing interest to this coin because the price has dump so hard, I don't know if this will rise again now that it is in bigger exchanges.

I have not yet received bitcoin gold from bittrex. I think they will have a notification on twitter in the day. Do not worry we will get our BTG.
