r3wt appears to be a purchased account/sockpuppet of a group of accounts that are extorting people for feedback.

UserID: extortion was the main contact in this scheme and I have posted details on that here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=230874.msg2430831#msg2430831

r3wt was one of 2 accounts that posted negative feedback claiming transactions that never occurred, saying I scammed them. The other was WikiLeaksLover, which ironically has negative feedback from r3wt.

After posting details of extortion's PM, the feedback was promptly removed.

I got this message a few minutes later:

i'm not sure who negged you from my account. apparently they were busy.

Edit:

Found details about r3wt selling their account.  Claims he bought it back though. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=226260.msg2411699#msg2411699

seen this a few days ago

http://www.gldtalk.org/index.php?topic=14

maybe thereis more to this story...

Wow, nice find.....the feedback I received actually pertained to the post you linked to.  r3wt claimed I was the guy who loaned him money in the negative feedback.

Also if you read extortion's scammer thread that I linked in the OP, you'll see his last comment mentions scamming microguy (claiming I was this k4rx).

They all seem to be the same person, and I'm sure there are many more accounts.  I think D35TR0Y3R is probably part of this group too.

Just to note about the post in the OP, r3wt gave me his account in exchange for a 0.02BTC loan and he repaid 0.028BTC tomorrow (which seemed strange as it wasn't due for 2 weeks).  Originally the loan was supposed to be private, but apparently he left me a review  Roll Eyes

There was never a deal for me to purchase the account, I had the login briefly but he had full control of the account since 8th June.

[09:46:22] anoncoward: sup
[09:55:01] anoncoward: so you are looking for a loan?
[09:55:09] anoncoward: like i said your account isn't very valuable, I can do 0.02BTC if you really need it, but I can't do 3BTC
[09:58:25] r3wt: um...well I need more BTC than that to pay to namecheap
[09:59:00] r3wt: I can give you my forum account, WoW account, my email address, my eBay account, verified PayPal and a 3 letter domain as collateral for a 3BTC loan
[10:09:17] anoncoward: look dude, your shit is worthless and not worth near 3BTC and maybe even hacked. If you want a loan my offer is 0.02BTC for your forum account, please don't waste my time do you want it or not?
[10:09:29] r3wt: how long do I have to repay?
[10:09:39] anoncoward: as long as you need, interest is 20%/week
[10:09:59] r3wt: OK I am interested, can I have the 0.02BTC for 2 weeks ill pay you real soon i'm mining gldcoin and can pay you in the next few days
[10:10:19] anoncoward: OK, 0.02BTC for 2 weeks repay 0.028BTC
[10:10:42] anoncoward: repay address <snip> I need your account info first and I will have to change the password and email address, if you scam me i will dox you and you won't like what happens then
[10:11:12] r3wt: password has been set to <snip>
[10:11:23] r3wt: did it work? here is my address <snip>
[10:14:34] r3wt: did it work? here is my address <snip>
[10:19:48] r3wt: hello? send me the BTC or give me back my account!!!! I'm opening a scammer thread now
[10:20:36] anoncoward: sorry for the delay, BTC has been sent
[13:10:07] r3wt: Received thx, I should have most of it repaid in the next few days

How does that work?  You give him full control of his account even though he is using it as collateral?  Doesn't make much sense to me.

It seems to me that if someone's account were being used as collateral on a loan, the loan issuer would have changed the password once they received possession of it as collateral.  Otherwise, what is stopping the account owner from just changing the password and keeping the loan.

You have misread. I changed the password & he was locked out but he got his account back on the 8th when he paid up the loan.

I guess I just misunderstood when he paid back the loan because you said this:

Just to note about the post in the OP, r3wt gave me his account in exchange for a 0.02BTC loan and he repaid 0.028BTC tomorrow (which seemed strange as it wasn't due for 2 weeks).  Originally the loan was supposed to be private, but apparently he left me a review  Roll Eyes

Tomorrow is the 11th of June, so I wasn't understanding how he had access to his account since the 8th.  I guess you must have meant something else.

rewt requested a loan from me, a few days ago. I chose to ignore after seeing some of his posts. He was going to offer a domain & his account for collateral.

He was asking for .35  and was going to pay back in 2 months.

LOL....I'm getting confused now.  Lets make it easy.  How many hours/minutes ago did you get your account back?  Or if you can, tell me in GMT what time it was.

So this message is the first thing you sent/did when you were back in control of your account?  Is that correct?
