Is anybody running an etsy.com store and accepting bitcoin payments there?
I guess that the only way to do it is to set up "Other" payment option and process it manually.
Any more ideas how to?

I think it is hard to be because the bitcoin is very popular nowadays and pretty much everyone knows bitcoin but it is not a payment method and no country has accepted it as a payment method, You can also sell bitcoin in cash and can buy from their website. I still hope that there are sites that accept bitcoin so that people who do not have a Visa or Paypal card like me can buy on it without the other card.

Have you checked out this article?

https://99bitcoins.com/get-accept-bitcoin-for-business-bitcoin-etsy/

It seems like it's basically what you said, you need to use the other payment for the etsy store. However, you should look into bitpay in order to process transactions. They offer bitcoin payments and are able to process them fairly quickly, and I know that a lot of services (like gyft) use it. It seems fairly reliable and a suitable payment processor for your store.

This area is up for grabs! PM me if you're interested.

Infact doing this thing manually will help you as well. Because, you can track the rate fluctuations and decide on when to provide that option or not. You can always redirects the user to your site with the QR code to scan and pay.

Also nice, but i'm not sure about linking to external resource for payment.. - is it a good idea?
Maybe I can just put QR-code image inside of a listing description (instead of a secondary photo)?  Grin

Rather than selling on etsy, you could try selling on a platform like Peerhub:

https://www.peerhub.com/

It depends very much on who your customers are - if they are cryptocurrency nerds, peerhub might suit you better.

alyssa85, like it, cozy place, thanx)) Is it completely based on Steem$, or any other coins are accepted?

Look, actually, OpenBazaar is my really favourite kind of a marketplace. decentralized, peer-to-peer, BTC-based, non-censored.. wow - I hope that one day it will be widespreaded and popular enough to buy anything & anywhere.

But sales on etsy.com grew to more than $2.84 billion in 2016 with total number of active sellers around 1.75M people..

I have an Etsy shop that accepts BTC and other cryptocurrencies: https://www.etsy.com/shop/PheasantPress

I also wrote a short article about how to shop on Etsy with Bitcoin: http://coinpixie.com/buy-with-bitcoin-on-etsy

Oh thanks for this, I hadn't heard about peerhub and I'm surprised that they accept Steem.
Any idea how popular they are? I mean do you have access to enough potential customers, like on Etsy?
