I have a certain amount of BTC stored in my electrum wallet before the fork hit and still possess it.
How do I claim Bitcoin Gold now?
On the BTG website it only shows in the FAQ that they will publish the instructions but I am starting to have my doubts.
Anyone has any information regarding this

They'll publish instructions after their dumping is over. We need to wait till then. Simple.

What if we move btc from electrum to a different wallet or exchange right now?  I know we'd still be entitled to BTG since we have access to our private key but do you think it would still complicate things?  I'd like to move my btc from electrum to bittrex but I'm not certain it's safe to do that right now if there's a chance I could lose the BTG.

You should be perfectly safe as they've already taken the snapshot (last Monday). If you're sceptical of their replay protection then I believe you should first send it to another address you own then send it on (that way you can't accidentally spend BTC when you meant to spend BTG).

yeah, but if the replay protection is not working, then the BTG will be sent with the BTC, thus only forwarding the problem to new address

I wouldn't mess with Bitcoin Gold, this altcoin is highly unstable and better suited for close testing purposes that for real-life usage.
The biggest issue ATM is fact that there is no implemented replay protection, private premine of 8,000 blocks and basically we have no idea who is a developer of this coin.
It would rather don't touch (in other words: dump) this altcoin now.

There are not enough information about the coin at this moment, there is no wallet i could see from their official website, when can we expect them to come up with a wallet or to start mining them,i guess the development is a bit slow,i am just waiting for some clarity regarding this new fork coin.

You can use the Electrum Gold wallet for bitcoin gold https://www.electrum-gold.org

This site is distributing malware. The Microsoft codesigning is fraudulent (lists briz.khamazin@yandex.ru) . The source code download is just a ZIP bomb. Do not use.

So we don't even know if it has replay protection ( like BCC/BCH has ) ??
And we don't even know who's the dev ?

Wow, we're in business ...
I wonder how its value went so up if it is so shady

If it hasn't replay protection, i may buy some BTG with FIAT , withdraw, and i win the same amount in BTC.
Would be great Cheesy

i wanted to claim my BTG through Coinomi. BUT i was storing my BTCs on Electrum Wallet. BUT the Electrum seed is not compatible with BIP32/BIP44 which is essentially what Coinomi implements.

So theres no way i can get the BTGs?

Where I get the right information about BTG, as promised BTC 1: 1 balance.
Until now I have not got it.
Unlike BCH, BTG is slow to respond.

BTG is not that special like BCH because before the fork or split happens to create the Bitcoin Cash, theymos announced and gave guidelines what we should be done to claim BCH afterwards. But for BTG, we didn't informed about it nor any news was shown on the top.
So I think, you can only get updates on their official website.

What else, Maybe you could have a quickie in the dark? Cheesy What you need to do is to create a transaction manually but don't send it just yet, Open another wallet and send you7r bitcoins to another address and then go back to the raw transaction page/ wallet and sign and send that transaction to a BTG address on Yobit.

So, if our bitcoin wallet isn't shown in bitcoin gold website we can't claim our bitcoin gold, right?
