Nowadays, ICOs are scamming the innocent people who were curious and wanted to invest on ICOs and expecting profits. But I want to ask, whether all the ICOs are scam these days or not? Huh
I know there are some good ICOs as well, which are not scamming. Since I need clarification, I am posting this thread and I also want to invest on an ICO which will be starting from November 1st and really don't have much time. So, feel free to give suggestions.

One thing you can do is before investing in any project, you need to do your own research. Read reviews about them. Follow their thread.

With that, at least you will have the gut feel if they are really legitimate or not. I know, it sounds too much work but you are putting your money to an unknown entity.

So you need to be very careful. I've seen a lot already here. At first, you can say, tell and defend that they are really doing the legal way, etc. but ended up running away after they took the investors' money. So much people here deceive potential investors. So good luck to your journey!

You need to do your job as an investor. RESEARCH them thoroughly. If you don't want to be scammed by these ICOs, learn how to research and also investigate everything about them, since you are investing on them. You can also ask the senior members here if they think this coins is Good or not. Don'y be afraid to send them PMs if you are serious about investing and knowing the truth about these ICOs.

Exactly. You should be a detective+scientist if you want to be investor. And ofcourse - researches is the major part of work. You should always justify the risks by facts.

No not all ICOs are scams but it is also true that newbie easily get scammed by scam projects because they don't make their own analysis about the project and just go with any investment advice they will get on internet or from friends.

You should check about every team member of the project, go through their whitepaper and try to understand why they are better than others, also look at soft cap and hardcap they have for ICO. Don't follow others, just do your own research before investing.

Ask them on their Announcement Thread on Bitcoin talk and look for all of the comments, also look for the Scam Accusation and Altcoin Discussion Board, therefore you can see their reputation here. Also look for their team, and look for their profiles online are they claiming that they are involved in these developments? Use the power of internet to find the truth, I've given you some tips.

Well, you need to do your own due diligence before investing in an ICO. No ICO people will tell you that their intention is to steal you bitcoins or money and run away with it. Also be careful to not to buy into ICO's with no hard cap, take tezos for an example.

Think about this. If you have to ask someone in this forum for validation of your decisions to join an ICO, then shouldn't you realise that you should stay away from it? All decisions have to come after your research, after your evaluation, and should never rely on the opinion of others, especially not on this forum where everyone is anonymous and using newbie accounts to promote ICOs.

Divide your reasons into Why you should join and Why you should not. Write them down clearly and then think. It's all about risk versus benefit.

You should be able to post on their announcement thread even if you are a newbie. To be able to do that just reply to their announcement thread and ask what the desired question to the developer. You can also just read the information provided on OP for basic knowledge about their project and their whitepaper for necessary info regarding the coin's tech. If you want more info regarding rilcoin don't hesitate to ask in their announcement thread they will be obliged to answer no matter what rank you are.
