I read that many now will continue to sell bitcoin and buy altcoins.
Should I buy bitcoin now or wait?

Buying bitcoin is not the wrong thing because we all know that bitcoin prices will continue to rise. I do not think bitcoingold will significantly affect bitcoin and even today bitcoin can still survive. It has proven that bitcoin has a bit of resistance and bitcoingold will have the same fate with bitcoincash. In the past when bitcoincash started there then bitcoin prices remain high and tend to increase. So buying and waiting until the rising bitcoin price is a careful choice. You will benefit if you can use it well.

It is not taken seriously. It is a shitcoin. It has been nothing but a way to scam users into giving their private keys for airdrops.

After the bitcoin gold fork there was a slight drop on the price of bitcoin, from $5900 to $5400 but as of now 2 days after the fork prices are ranging from $5800 - $5900 again. So it is safe to say that BTG somehow affected bitcoin's price because the people who hoarded bitcoin to get their BTG tried released it at the same time after the fork but the market is stabilizing at a higher price now.

Given how volatile bitcoin is, the drop from $5900 to $5400 may have been nothing more than routine price swings from day/short-term trading.

In any case, bitcoin gold does not seem to have had much of an effect on the market.  I guess things might change if more exchanges open up trading on it--it might pop like bitcoin cash did, which might cause some to sell bitcoin for bitcoin gold.  But ultimately, I think bitcoin gold will end up nowhere, like bitcoin cash, and any negative effects it has on the price of bitcoin will be temporary.

For now yes but I'm not sure if bitcoins can make us safe for more years ahead since there so many people who can manipulate it and that is so alarming to see unlike with gold where the growth of it is passive and we can expect that if we hold it the value would increase for more in the future. But if we hold both bitcoins and gold then it will be more good to us since maybe we will became rich for bitcoins aswell with gold.

You should buy now, buy now just like you invest. Put your money into your bitcoin wallet but do not put all your earnings. You need to put some amount that you think you will not use for the next 5 years to 10 years and then after that years I think you already gain a lot of profit that time. Bitcoin is the 1st and one of the best crypro-currency so in my opinion bitcoin will have a better and brighter future.

Bitcoin gold had no capacity to surpass the abilities of the bitcoin, since BTG is only a little bit part of BTC last. Moreover, even bitcoin gold have a potential to increase their price in the market, I know that bitcoin is much better to them.
Otherwise bitcoin gold had lack of improvement for now but I think developer of this project were not stop develop this product to attract more clients.

The forked coin was nothing, The bitcoin gold dev is not in competence to develop the bitcoin gold. Look at the bitcoin gold right now even the network not yet a live. That means if the bitcoin gold very bad coin. About the next fork coin just like b2x and so many people are try to gaining the moment to get their own b2x coin. Yes, absolutely. There's no question that BTG is just a thrashed coin right now because its doesn't bring any on the table. That's why it didn't enjoy the support from the community. We just get this free coins and after that, the dumped happened and BTG didn't go as planned by those who is supporting this coin. Bitcoin is the only one that has enjoyed the support and traction from us. And no matter what fork or coin comes in the market, it will die down just like any other fork coins from BTC.

Indeed many people are buying altcoins, but as far as I know that doesn't mean they sell bitcoin, I think there are still many people who continue to holding bitcoin and holding it as an investment that promises a high profit opportunities. Many of them make altcoins as an part of investments other than bitcoin invested, and honestly I personally do not think at all that bitcoin gold can be affect bitcoin price being falling down, I think it's doesn't have any effect on bitcoin price movements.
Bitcoin price had time to drop below $7000 some time ago, I think it's the right time to buy, but.. at right now also it doesn't matter if you buy it I guess, I still believe the price can still moving higher again than now.

I think we already got our answers . Bitcoin gold came with huge expectations but ended up hiking the price and value of bitcoin at some other level .
No doubt nowadays many people are investing or buying the altcoins but i have never heard people giving up bitcoin for altcoin .
Looking at the stats , bitcoin has almost blocked every possible for other altcoins to rise . So bitcoin gold or any other altcoin cannot come in the way of bitcoin's flourishing market

Panicking has been the driving force used to lose Money in any assets investment. People that are saying that bitcoin price is going to drop and clash after the hardfork are not familiar with happening in the past especially the ones that happened in august this year. We are not going to see fund flow from bitcoin to altcoins before the end of this year because of what he will do.
