So lets say i have all the hardware. Is it even possible to generate income for a single person by the difficulty of the algorith. I mean arent the costs to much so that the reward is no actual reward.

3GB cards are not good enough to start mine any coins. Everyone usally prefers the Radeon series cards and Nvidia cards when they start the bitcoin or any altcoin mining. In these model 8 GB cards are preferable to mine ethereum and bitcoin. If you want to go with the lower end miner which can give low hash rate and clock speed. You profit will be estimated as very cheap profit.
Check the radeon 470 to start mine or go with the ASIC miner machines.

As long as you can afford it, the best GPU for the future is also the one that is most future proof... a GTX 1080 Ti.  We really need allot more information about your setup and what you would like to mine before the question can be answered more decisively.

You just take a look on whattomine.com, they have a survey on card vs. algorithms.
I think GTX 1070/1080 Ti should be good for most of alt coins.

I can say amd or nvidia.  The problem  is there are lots of factors.  Do you have any gear at all.  Is your power cheap.  What country do you live with in.  I have purchased the nvidia 1080ti  for 535 usd new. A great price. I have purchased the nvidia  1070 as low as 325 new. I have found used pcs for 200.  And pulled the cpu out sold it for 150. Put in a cheap cup for 40. So the pc was only 90. Three cards were 975 that is a 1300 sol for zec build  under 1100.well more like1175 I needed risers

While some say that NVIDIA's 1080ti is best for the future, I recommend you go with the newer AMD VEGA.

The Vega was released just this August 2017 and is even cheaper (both 56 or 64 variants) than the 1080ti. People will say its not power efficient or less profitable but really all you have to do is BIOS mod your Vegas. I'll let you google and research yourself. Happy mining!

GTX 1080 with 3-slot cooling system looks very good. The same cooler for 1080Ti works no longer so well. (56C for 1080Ti and 51C for 1080 with same cooler at the same conditions).
And waiting for nonreference models of Vega56...

That is not correct. I have a bunch of 3 GB 1060s doing all sorts of alts via Zpool.

If you only want to mine ETH then, yes, you don't want 3 GB cards.

I am liking 3 GB 1060s right now... it doesn't take long to earn back the cost of the GPU since they are $189-$199 and they will be an easy re-sell at ~50-60% of price paid even after a year or so of use.

I think 1070 it is universal and has 8 GB of memory, this memory is enough for a long time.

Vega looks quite promising too. All the latest generation cards are the most promising. Much depends on your electricity price.
