Bitcoin Platinum
Make Bitcoin Decentralized Again

DECENTRALIZATION

Bitcoin Platinum implements a new PoW algorithm, Equihash, that makes mining decentralized again. Special computer hardware designed for BTC mining (ASICs) is obsolete for mining BTP, giving ordinary users a chance to mine with ubiquitous GPUs.

FAIR DISTRUBUTION

A hard fork of Bitcoin is the most fair and efficient method of creating and distributing a new digital asset. Coins that are created from a new genesis block always have ownership concentrated among a smaller group of people.

REPLAY PROTECTION

In order to ensure the safety of the Bitcoin ecosystem, Bitcoin Platinum has implemented full replay protection, an essential feature that protects users coins from being spent accidentally.

TRANSPARENCY

Bitcoin Platinum is a free open source software project that is built by volunteer developers and supported by a rapidly growing community of Bitcoin enthusiasts that stretches across the globe.

FAQ

What is Bitcoin Platinum?
Bitcoin Platinum is a fork of the Bitcoin blockchain that will occur in December. At the predetermined block height, Bitcoin Platinum miners will begin creating blocks with a new proof-of-work algorithm, and this will cause a bifurcation of the Bitcoin blockchain. The original Bitcoin blockchain will continue on unaltered, but a new branch of the blockchain will split off from the original chain. The new branch is a distinct blockchain with the same transaction history as Bitcoin up until the fork, but then diverges from it. As a result of this process, a new cryptocurrency will be born.

What is the purpose of Bitcoin Platinum?
The purpose of Bitcoin Platinum is to make Bitcoin mining decentralized again. Satoshi Nakamoto’s idealistic vision of “one CPU one vote” has been superseded by a reality where the manufacture and distribution of mining equipment has become dominated by a very small number of entities, some of which have engaged in abusive practices against individual miners and the Bitcoin network as a whole. By changing Bitcoin’s proof-of-work algorithm from SHA256 to Equihash, all of the specialized SHA256 mining equipment will be obsolete for mining the Bitcoin Platinum blockchain. Thus, Bitcoin Platinum will provide an opportunity for countless new people around the world to participate in the mining process with widely-available consumer hardware that is manufactured and distributed by reputable mainstream corporations. A more decentralized, democratic mining infrastructure is more resilient and more in line with Satoshi’s original vision.

How can I get Bitcoin Platinum?
The Bitcoin Platinum (BTP) initial coin distribution method is exactly the same as that used by Bitcoin Cash (BCH). All Bitcoin holders who possess BTC private keys in December (block still to be decided) will receive Bitcoin Platinum on the rate of 1 BTC = 1 BTP (If you have 20 BTC you will receive 20 BTP). You need to control BTC private keys in order to make Bitcoin Platinum transactions.

Are you affiliated with Bitcoin Gold, Silver etc etc? If not you chose an unfortunate name as it raises red flags.

How is this project different from Bitcoin Gold? Both of it has the same aim and changed to the same algo... What is the difference and why it would be better than the Bitcoin Gold?

We have already implemented replay protection.  Bitcoin Gold is still scrambling around testing their implementation.  I highly doubt they will have a secure replay protection by November.  If you want to lose your money, go ahead with Bitcoin Gold.

Contrary to what popular belief may be, ridiculous proliferation of bitcoin forks are a good thing. The more bitcoin forks out there, the faster the immunization of bullshit will be.

Once people realize bitcoin forks are nothing but a joke, it will only legitimize the real bitcoin even more, similar to how alts have turned into a circus except a few exceptions.

And with that being said, bring as many forks as you want, it was never a problem.

I don't know why you'd think this is bullshit.  I'm literally giving you guys free coins here.  There is 0% premine, everyone is getting a fair share based on the BTC they hold.

This is open source community, every body is free to copy paste any existing project. did you buy Bitcoin cash? I didn't because I'm not stupid, I only sold, let the private investors lose money. did you buy BTC gold? I didn't because I'm not stupid, I sold at $520. let whoever bought them to have fun with them.
Will you buy this one? your honey my money for girl jumping practices, stop. lol. start, they have deep pockets like Wu? let them fork and buy up all the doubled coins, they are free to do with their money as they like.

Would you send your Bitcoins to a ponzi, double your Bitcoin scammers? if so, give the platinum your private keys if some body asked for them, we're not here to save idiots, they are idiots with/out any new fork.
