Don't invest in ICO on pre-sale or ICO start. Best way for newbie it's trade on most stability pair BTC,LTC,ETH. Next way try to study completly ico products with real potential.

I need some investment advice from the veterans here if possible.
Earlier this year I executed my plan and took the plunge by investing in 10 altcoins each with an equal amount of dollars, with some bitcoin left over. As this was my first time I made some mistakes in investing at the wrong time, other coins I did OK. I'm currently a little above what I originally invested in and feel quite comfortable for the time being.
Now that some months have past I feel that I would like to increase my position in all the coins I previously invested in which I believe are for the good long term.
However in the past months I have seen some ICO's with good potential and would of liked to have invested in them but couldn't because I wouldn't be sticking to my original plan with the coins I already invested in, and sure enough recently they had increased a lot in value and I could of made a good return. So my instincts were correct and I should of invested in some additional coins. I know it is said the FOMO is a strong feeling but what happens when it is right??
Are 10 alt coins enough to be investing in?
If I spot a good investment opportunity should I invest in more alts eg. from my original 10 up to 15, my worry is when does it end as the hype never ends.
All the coins I have currently invested in are good solid coins with a good long term future but may have already past their strongest growth phase. If I have a good feeling about an ICO which has good upside potential should I dump one from my current portfolio in favour of a newer coin which could explode?
Hard decisions....
The software alone is not enough to go on since there's a bunch of projects here that didn't strive through their launch. It's all about the dev.

It is all up to you,be careful with ico,sec will come with his legisation. You almost all icos are traded below his ico price. You already saw whan btc is rising alts are going down.I will have problem to find ten alts worth to invest,.You can find good alt,ico before major release, than buy and sell before release Currently i know only two new ico's worth attention, but i am not checking all of them Good that you are in profit at begining of your journey, dont be to much, sell if you feel to sell buy back whan you fill to buy back
Yes its up to the person on how she or he take care in investing. So it is better to check the investment site if it is not a scam. Then you can now invest after that.

I agree with you. ICO too dangerous now, many scam project these day. the dangerous of the ico is because the dev and the team is only chasing for the investor money and if they are really serious wih their project then they will not disappointed their investor. i realize that it will difficult to find the good ico that will bring a profit to us especially we don't know anything about them. maybe to prevent the bad ico is by reading their whitepaper, knowing the dev and the team, having conversations with them and else. if they have passion to make their project is success, then they will do anyting they can to make sure that their project will work on the right track.

Start with trading BTC just to get a hang of how the trading system works, the pumps and dumps, you don't need to invest too much and end up losing too much also. Once you do some research into Altcoins also, you can start using ETH which is less volatile than the rest coins. Look into upcoming ICO's also, some of them seem promising but beware of scams.

Here you are going toward the better way of investment Because I know that you are doing the good work really Because you are making investment not in the single but many coins , so here it is more better for you to have more and more coins investment . But here in my old time experience here I can suggest you a better thing that , to make investment in those coins which have price in the range of the 100-200 Satoshi ( like reddcoin , Digibyte coin , putin , trump , blry , Pak ,pxi , tam etc ) such types of coins are numot much famouse but if you will see toward the progess in 10-20% flcutuations in week then you will realise easily that how you can make profit easily ( but make investment in very small small amounts , not more than 0.01 btc ) . Beside of the investment investment in the cous here I would like to suggest you to make investment in the ICOs project , but only in those projects which are have better team and devlopment experience and also better economical support , otherwise daily new new ICOs are coming and going .

Nice advice... Went on a similar path for sure you have to read the news everyday to be ready too. There are some really good ICOs worth investing in. Might be a lot of profit on long term

You can't focus on 10 coins correctly, even beeing a full time trader. You'll miss calls or information, or conferences/roadmaps. You should take 2 or 3 altcoins that you believe in and stay focus on them.
I don't believe 10 altcoins will be huge in the future. In the traditionnal world, there are many business that have been started out there and there are less than 10 that have really worked well and continue to work well for years (google amazon apple... etc). And don't think among the current one, 10 of them will be running again in some years...

Focus on the volumes of those coins because you should remain updated with your current investments before you decide to get more coins. If you can, please share the list of the coins you have invested in, and we all would help you to decide if your coins are good enough or you need to add something to your portfolio. Still, it's better to wait some long because altcoin market is under slack atm and will rise once Bitcoin gets balanced.

Hi, as someone mentioned above use ETH (ethereum) and invest in an alt coin ICO. Look out for scams and only invest when you have done your diligence on research. Currently i can only suggest BitDegree as an ICO to invest in which is not a scam and is has extreme potential.
Good luck brother
Agree with you.. there are some compynies with great potential... myself personally will invest in ICO SportyFi.. check it out... Great preparation, greatly written whitepaper etc..

hello. The best investment advice I can give you is "diversification". Basically: take decide first how much money you are willing to lose, that will be the money you will be investing in the crypto space. Once you have determined the amount, let's say 100$, divide that amount by ten. So 100/10 you'll have 10$. Now that you have ten times ten dollars, invest each of these ten dollars in a different coin, it can be anything you want but I recommend to invest in ICO's which have the highest potential for a descent return. By diversifying you reduce your chances of loosing everything in case something happens to one of the coins, so you're more likely to survive in the long-term.

There is no magic number for coins. If you’re investing, as opposed to trading, you can buy many. You don’t have to follow them as closely. Or you can do like me: have some long term coins that I don’t look at very often and some coins I invest in. Split is probably 70-30 of investing vs trading. I also habe bitcoin, which should be at least a proportion of your portfolio.
