I agree with you OP, crypto world has slowed down. ICO mania as we know it is done, people realised $40m for 7 lines of code is nonsense. On the other hand, all these pointless BTC forks where they print money out of thin air are making people loose faith in BTC and crypto in general.

This might be a good thing in a long run; ICOs will have to lower their caps to normal levels, only the good ones are gonna get their chance and ETH could take over BTC in marketcap and officialy become number one cryptocurrency.
They're making money out of thin air but remember that they have value just because people give value to them

It will depend on how segwit2x fork comes out, whether there will be a brutal fight and long lasting damage and confusion to the cryptomarket. If the battle finished quickly, no matter who wins, we might see confidence back in the market and another bubble coming up.

Nope. Bitcoin is spreading worldwide like a disease. We are very far to any end of trend.

I dont know. The growth to this point has seemed pretty organic. I think if we were to see a bubble form, we'd have to witness prices several times the average price of the year and a very sharp increase towards the end. The $ increase to this point has been pretty steady.

We may still be in the early stages of a bubble.

I don't think we're nearing a bubble, unless in 2018 there will be no project that goes truly mainstream. Something that brings crypto into the spotlight unlike the backstages we've been on until now. If we don't get something that the average Joe can truly understand is revolutionary and easy to use, I could entertain the possibility that there might be a bubble about to pop. But I have high hopes for 2018

The whole Bitcoin Gold situation is not over yet. The distribution isn't completed yet so we have a little bit more time to see if there will be an altcoin pump.
