Other ways to get BTC

I'm looking to earn some BTC at a reasonable rate, I don't have competitive mining equipment or in this question am referring to gambling/investing or paying to buy BTC either.

I don't mind doing some work, I'm quite invested in the BTC concept but after a theft and a loss while investing due to misscalling my BTC are running low.

Of course but you don't have any other ways, you can work, buy bitcoins with money or sell items for money.
You will not get free coins anywhere At least a significant amount.
