I recently purchased a Avalon 200/gh miner and after reading some posts have come to the conclusion that the miner is a knock off from china, The problem I am having is it is only mining around 140GH with the current settings below and using a 1200Watt power supply everyone else is getting above 200GH what am I doing wrong or where do I look to see if there is a problem, I opened the case and see 2 big red like looking graphic cards and some wires. Is there something else I can change in the settings to make it go faster or is something wrong with this unit? I even played with the Chip Frequency putting it at 1400 and it only went a few GH faster. I have posted a link to photo bucket below for my screen shots since I am new to inserting in messages and want you to see this stuff, Please help!

5 of your 16 workers are not functioning, which gives you about the hashrate you are seeing.  So, nothing is wrong in your configuration.  However, with 5 modules not functioning, there could be several reasons, including but not limited to:

1)  Fuses blown on those modules (upper left of each submodule on the blade PCB, usually marked "FUSE1" or two fuses right next to each other with a "P" on them - see the btmine thread in Group Buy).
2)  Bad connection on the pits from the blade board atop the blade connecting to the 4 PCBs of 2 worker modules each (the pins could be bent or misaligned).
3)  Power supply marginal, such that only certain modules are getting enough current.

You can check 1) with a voltmeter (some resistance across fuse means it is blown, near-zero resistance means the fuse is fine)
You can check 2) via visual inspection
You can check 3) but putting in a known-to-be-beefier power supply and seeing how it goes

Personally, I'd go with #1, but that's only because that's what I experienced with my own Avalon clone.

Hope this helps!   And good luck!

yes looks like you have problems with some of your miners.
I have the same miner and had problems too - different kind though: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=438714.0
as far as I can tell I have a huge amount of stales which I can't seem to fix. Overclocking seems to make the number of stales increase. Overall ~ 13% of stales when running at 1300. Kind of sucks

good luck fixing your problem - I wish I went with S1's. bahh

I am using a Thermaltake Tough power Grand 1200W 80PLUS Gold Certified Modular Power Supply TPG-1200M is this enough power to make this mine efficiently? Also Where in the data does it tell you if all the miners are not working? and last but not least where do you get replacement fuses and more info on how to replace the fuses if this is the problem? I have copied and pasted a new API LOG below if someone can tell me where the data is for the miner count that is working? its getting about 150GH with FREQ at 1400 and this is a Avalon clone from china.

Here is where it's telling you that modules 1,5,7,11,13,and 15 are not hashing.  That's one more failure than the last API log - to me, that points to fuses again.  I just bridged past the fuses, but you can get them from DigiKey or any place that sells SMD components really.

The fuse discussion starts here, but you really should read the whole thread https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=379819.940 .  I know you have a slightly different clone, but most of it will still apply, especially w.r.t. the questions you're asking.  The only thing that is very different is that in our version, we use 2 PSUs.

One other thing - for the modules in the middle of a blade, say around 5 and 13, they can also stop hashing because the ribbon cable can knock loose a nearby capacitor (mounted directly under where the ribbon cable can put pressure on it.  Worth some careful inspection...

Hi,

First post on here, looks like I've got a similar issue but not quite as bad...

[Firmware Version] => 20131110
cgminer: 176747f
cgminer-openwrt-packages: 0e12b1b
luci: 346e3e7

   [match_work_count1] => 183
   [match_work_count2] => 130558
   [match_work_count3] => 130342
   [match_work_count4] => 130772
   [match_work_count5] => 130104
   [match_work_count6] => 130809
   [match_work_count7] => 130317
   [match_work_count8] => 130627
   [match_work_count9] => 130821
   [match_work_count10] => 117104
   [match_work_count11] => 130027
   [match_work_count12] => 117511
   [match_work_count13] => 130805
   [match_work_count14] => 129969
   [match_work_count15] => 130598
   [match_work_count16] => 130799
   [Controller Version] => 2013110865
   [Avalon Chip] => 55

Is there anything I can do? Some sort of visual check perhaps to verify the fault?

Noob I'm afraid, I can find my way around when it comes to software but a soldering iron is way beyond my skills.

One other thing - for the modules in the middle of a blade, say around 5 and 13, they can also stop hashing because the ribbon cable can knock loose a nearby capacitor (mounted directly under where the ribbon cable can put pressure on it.  Worth some careful inspection...

Thanks for the quick reply.

I'll have a look when I've finished this ridiculously long night shift.  Angry
