I had another idea today for the android app.  Grin

My idea is to create a place on the official website where users can enter the phone number of their smart phone to receive a deposit of let's say 100 Goldcoins in exchange for downloading the app.

Then we'll have all these people with preloaded wallets looking for ways of trading them and using them as money. They might then begin using them for payments to each other for services like grass cutting or babysitting for example. The key is to get the coin into circulation.

If we can get the coins into circulation, the marketplaces will follow.

Even if you use Bitcoin through Tor, the way transactions are handled by the network makes anonymity difficult to achieve. Do not expect your transactions to be anonymous unless you really know what you're doing.

i fubar'd it and had to send it to a real programmer. apparently Dr Kimoto sabotaged the megacoin source to prevent anyone from building on it. it might take a while to get it working again, or i might just have to start from scratch and build directly off of bitcoin and manually reconfigure it for scrypt

Going off thread here, but bah.
Build off new litecoin version or copy franko code or some other coin since it has removed the litecoin alert annoyance.

I want to congratulate microguy for continuing to grab the bull by the horns, and not giving up.

I am getting the feeling that Goldcoin is starting to get better and better all the time now.

Tell you what. Someone lend me 100k gldcoins right now, and I will pay you back by the middle of the month with 5% interest.

That means I will pay you 105k if you lend me 100k gldcoins today. You can send the goldcoins to me via the goldcoin address in my signature below.

By the way, I have over 100k gldcoins already, so don't worry, I can cover the loan. Smiley

Smart people ask you to prove you own 100k goldcoins by signing a message with a loaded address

Own address: 19QkqAza7BHFTuoz9N8UQkryP4E9jHo4N3 - Pywallet support: 1AQDfx22pKGgXnUZFL1e4UKos3QqvRzNh5 - Bitcointalk++ script support: 1Pxeccscj1ygseTdSV1qUqQCanp2B2NMM2

To bad its GLDCoins that you loons think are worth anything.  Prove me wrong.  Make me a millionaire 3x over please.

But its not about money because I ave more money than all of the loons combined.  Its about freedom.  its about decentralized currency.

GLDcoin is FAR from decentralized currency with Ben Bernanke Jr AKA microguy running the show.

LOL, he really is a crazy tyrant, but i'm sure theres a naive gentle soul in there somewhere.

ps, thanks for advising me when to pump. can i borrow 50k GLD again? you got 3 million i'm sure you can spare it.

Yeah the difference is GLDcoin was a pump and dump coin, which is now run by a lunatic tyrant.  I made $3800 in the first few days, bought all those coins back for under $1000, and now have double the coins I had originally.

Its my coin.  I released it.  I have 3 million GLD now - soon to be 0.  GLD has been corrupted.  GLD was never intended for 1 person to run it.

I created both coins, and Gold Coin will be run by the community, and Gold Coin will be free from lunatics.

Where is your "pumping" - didn't you tell me it was you and Fontas who pumped LTC?  I call bullshit.
To not be rude and provide you with any details you may not be aware of,

First off, It was fontas, me and a few others who pumped LTC from 0.7 cents each to the 5 dollar mark. I was actually the first one to start. Not that I care if you happen to believe me on that point or not.

2ndly, MicroGuy isn't the only person running it. There are quite a few people on the GLD Committee in actuality and we do in fact consult the community. The only reason you were taken off the development team is because you sold GLDCoin and still acted like you were still in charge afterwards. This decision alone was made by 5 people.. including MicroGuy and myself. I was actually trying to keep you on the development team, but you just kept acting childish and unprofessional.

For anyone else who may be reading this, see this:

3rdly, We weren't even planning to get rid of your initial coins, as morally unsound as it was of you to pre-mine that much, we didn't want to make such unilateral decisions for the community. In fact we still aren't planning on removing those initial block rewards, partly because of some better sense that says a bunch of those blocks are now probably in other people's hands.

4thly, I don't know whether it was out of a defensive instinct to protect your assets when LaudaM began to hint that we were going to reduce the value of your coins by a factor of 1000X that you did that whole "nickyglasses" thing on cryptsy or whether you just like doing that sort of thing. Either way its unprofessional, and you can't possibly expect us to put up with such behavior from an official developer.

Lastly, We cannot trust you, you use multiple accounts/personalities, your behavior fluctuates wildly without warning and worst of all, your not interested in what's best for the coin.
