I've always traded on my own but I think I should listen to other people their views too.

Unlike traditional banking where clients have only a few account numbers, with Bitcoin people can create an unlimited number of accounts (addresses). This can be used to easily track payments, and it improves anonymity.

Make a simple portfolio, half is BTC the rest divided between established alt coins and some new ultra low cap coins. And you'll do just fine.

Hold some major coins firstly like BTC, ETH, LTC, then I would look to some smaller coins with more growth potential, I really like SIA and I would keep an eye on electroneum after it launches.

All of the above are pretty right, but have forgotten to account timing. You have money for how long?
Short term speculation and Longtime investing.

On a short timescale there is probably Bitcoin again since we learned from past experiences that a fork of Bitcoin results into an altcoin airdrop like Cash, Gold. Due next month again.
On the other hand BTC makes a perfect long always. 50% into BTC.

The midrange of topmarketcaps you would have to nannysit on a daily base, watching charts and reading TA. 25% into that, if you can do the task.

If you are completely up for a gamble, ready to just burn it all, than go for something completely out of the blue. Alts traded on small sites like Yobit, Allcoin, Liqui (tradesides complete overview at https://coinmarketcap.com/exchanges/volume/24-hour/all/ )
You can even take a go on "longterm gambling" which is called differently here, I think one calls that an ICO Smiley
25% for that if you are up to loosing those 25%, or love to gamble.

That creates three possible playing fields. Choose and weight according to your own preferences, nobody else can tell you to like this or that more than the other approach.

I think that 50% of BTC. 10% ICO. 40% Altcoins. In my opinion, this strategy is the most correct one. However, think about short-term games.

Finding a good ICO that you believe in the project is a key with this market.  Find one that is reputable and a white paper that has the details that convince you.  Next big coin for me will definitely be Binarycoin.  It has an excellent white paper going over every detail of the project.  Give it a read for yourself, but I can see this coin blowing up.  Get it while it is still cheap, and if you use my referral link I will send  the 5% commission back to you!

Im pretty new so I’d like to know ur opinions
I do always advise people not to first look for coins to invest but to go for knowledge first on how to buy any coins at the right time and sell them at the right time. Most of the popular coins we have in the cryptoindustry will not fail in the long run! In fact an expert told me coins don't died but one day there will recover. Ethereum, ripple, zcash, bitconnect, neo, wave and there ground father bitcoin are all good to invest in, but when do to buy them and sell them that will bring you profits should be what you should be after. Good luck to  you.

I suggest you to not invest in few next month, because to make good investment you need to make a big pre-work. Start reading this forum, web-sites that related to ICO topic, read articles and reviews.
And when you become more confident and thing you can tell us where to fund a good ico, how to recognized scam..only after that try to invest in ico.
Read this article https://medium.com/@confideal/why-will-confideal-ico-be-successful-ad293f09d7e1 and watch how this project will develop further. I'm in, and i almost sure that it will be a really profitable. Please don't invest because of my recommendation, make our own choice.

Monero. Their team is good and have a working coin. One of the veterans in the business as well. IT has been very quiet though over the past few weeks, with almost no movement upwards. Now that they've found a floor at 0.015 btc, there is room for growth.

Or, you could invest in some ICOs. Lots of them out there, just don't get conned.

You should try to clarify it a little bit more, you are saying that you have money, but not how much, or how much money are you willing to invest or take the risks.
But if you want to start trading, then use that money for trading, if you have a previous knowledge it would be very easy for you since you can make quickly profits if you know how to trade and predict the market's reactions over the price of a coin. Good luck mate.

Start with BTC only. Then spend some time researching and you'll find what else you want to buy.

If you have the money then begin purchasing Bitcoin then work your way to something larger like Litecoin or Ethereum. Bitcoin should be your first investment.

Just divide it among the all assets, most secure way to do this.
