Please help. I am using 96.3.99, after my 96.0 version kept giving me an 'Armory has stopped working' message each time it loaded and started to progress through the scanning process.
Each time I open it, it stays offline, but gives no error message. It does not commence the scanning process.
I have Bitcoin core synchronised and files are stored in an external hard drive. Bitcoin core is up to date. I have entered the location of these files using the Armory settings.
I have used the help options to prompt a rebuild and rescan, but this has no impact upon restart.
The log file and cplog file are provided below

Then Armory can't find it your block data at this path: C:\Users\Andrew\AppData\Roaming/Bitcoin/blocks
If you are using custom paths, refer to this tutorial: https://btcarmory.com/docs/pathing

It looks like you've got the Bitcoin "data" and Bitcoin "install" paths confused and set the directory paths in Armory around the wrong way... It's trying to find the actual Bitcoin Core application installation in "D:\Bitcoin" which I suspect is where you have the Bitcoin DATA directory setup (ie. The blocks and wallet.dat etc) Whereas, your Bitcoin application appears to be in the default "program files\Bitcoin" location.

I am new to forum with OLD wallets. I lost my wallets due to demolished hardware. I have finally located my paper backups and restored my wallets. I continually get "Armory failed to spawn the DB! Continuing operations in offline mode instead. Refer to the dblog.txt for more information. I am 82 years old and am not a computer expert. Could someone help me at least read the dblog.txt? My wallets show no bitcoins but I know I have some. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Did you also download and fully sync Bitcoin Core?
Armory absolutely REQUIRES Bitcoin Core and it's blockchain (all 150+ gigs worth) to be able to create the Armory database.
Without a fully synced blockchain, Armory will never be able to show your Bitcoins. If you can't (or don't want to) download the full blockchain with Core, what you could do is export your private keys from Armory and import them into another wallet (preferably a lightweight wallet like Electrum).
Note: exporting your private keys does run the risk of potentially exposing them to any malware or trojan on your PC and possible loss of Bitcoins. It should NOT be done lightly... Make sure you are fully aware of the security implications and take appropriate precautions before doing so!

Hello and thanks for the help. Exactly what do I need to do? I see something about node and there are several signatures on the page for the core download. I am not sure what to do and that is a lot of data to download the wrong thing. Please advise and Thanks again!
