Troubleshooting help needed for running cgminer on xubuntu usb memory stick

Can anybody please help me?

Im running cgminer xubuntu from usb 3.0 memory stick and it lags – running very slow and clunky. Also the hash rate is lower than windows 7. Any recommendations to fix this please?

I am also running my miners with that type of setup.  You need to give more info such as your system configuration (eg. system memory, how many gpus and what kind, cgminer conf. file, what is the hash rate of each gpu).

Hash Rate with 16GB USB 3.0 flash drive is 1.6mh (w7 was 1.9???)

When you are mining, what are your memory and cpu usage at.  Also, is this a dedicated miner and did you try tweaking the cgminer settings for each card to maximize hash rate.

I am using all the same configurations as windows 7 hard disk when replaced with xubuntu USB 3.0 drive

however the hash rate for 2x7950s on windows 7 is 1.9+ and when replaced with xubuntu 3.0 drive is 1.7~

Should I try using a USB 2.0 flash drive?
