Do you diversify?

Yeah, im doing diversification. But on altcoins and bitcoin only. Because i find very profitable. I don't know things about stocks, bonds and other investment stuffs. So im just trading my Bitcoin to altcoins. Half of my portfolio is on Bitcoin while the other half is on altcoins. You can't just rely on one investment only because once it crashed. That's it. Kiss your money goodbye. That's over. And for that, i believe in the saying that. Don't put all your eggs in one basket. Use only an amount that you can afford to lose. Basic but very helpful. Diversification of portfolio is very important because in the field of cryptocurrency. You don't know what will happen next. So you need to diversify so atleast you could cover your loss when you loss at your other investment.

I do not diversify really. If I do it is an extremely small percentage otherwise the vast majority of my wealth is stored in BTC as that is the best long term store of value available today.

My answer is yes to 1) and not yet to 2) but I will.

My answer on #1 is not yet but i will because i think it is more hard to have a stocks mutual funds or investments on the "not-digital" world of stock investing. My answer on #2 is yes, I also hold different altcoins which is stored on the WAVES platforn.

1. Yes I do, as I have interest in other business areas and because I even do a day job, its an investment offline on its own a place where I spend 40 hours in a week is enough.

2. I hold some amounts of coins but just a few and not enough to qualify as a portfolio. I only invest in the few ones I believe in and that will go ahead in deciding if I will continue to hold and pull out

Yes, of course but not only in crypto currencies.
I also invest in business startups, real businesses with real products.
Bitcoin is really a great investment but it has a lot of ups and downs and big competition in other currencies.
I think we should think long-term and not put all hope into one thing, even great as bitcoin

I think you should do bit of both you know. Investments will play a key part since its low in risk. For example, Investment in Vehicles or Land. Meanwhile you should consider about Holding in to Crypto too since that's what you are familiar to. Maybe the tie will come when you should be switch to No 1 rather than doing no 2.

I don't do a ton of investing outside of cryptocurrencies, but I've gotten into ETH and I'm considering a few ICOs that I think are interesting. (I will, of course, sometimes needle one ICO or another by implying that I won't invest more than $10 in something that I'm moderately skeptical about, or that has a roadmap that puts the launch more than six months out, because how do I know that members of the development team won't get bored and walk away.)

As for the first question, Yes I diversify my funds through bitcoins, stocks, mutual funds and some food business. I do this for  my funds to be more secured and diversified. It makes me more comfortable and dont rely on just one investment. Just as they say always, dont put all your eggs in one basket.
For the second one, I trade altcoins and bitcoins. Whenever I see good opportunities to trade, I grab it whether its bitcoin or altcoins. But I eventually convert it to bitcoin when I sell my altcoin. I dont hold altcoin for a long time because I’m more confident in bitcoin. I also store my bitcoin in a hard wallet to prevent it from being hacked.

I have a 401K which itself is diversified.  That is the only real non-crypto investment I have. 

I also have a wide range of altcoins.  The amounts and values fluctuate, I do a fair amount of trading, but I do keep a few coins that I never trade.  Just HODLing those.

Diversification is good in the long run because it mitigates potential risk.  Of course it also mitigates gain.  If you can find a strategy that works for you it may not work for someone else.  My advice is put as much as you safely can into crypto.  Don't cashin a 401K to buy bitcoins, I would just divert current streams into crypto.

If you like to trade have some coins set aside that you don't touch.

Yes i have diversified my investment because to put all of your eggs in one basket is not a safe option or a good strategy.

I hold altcoins but for a short period of time for short term trading, altcoins are not reliable so holding altcoins for a long time is risky.

I think if we invest in crypto currency especially in bitcoin, we can have to make profit and now with the price of bitcoin up and down, I am sure that we can make money.

I am a regular trader like equity in my country exchanges and also commodity in that I dint find much profit. Once I started to invest on bitcoin I am getting regular income by different strategies only through bitcoin. Yes even I am holding lots of high potential crypto currencies hoping out of that one will make millionaire in near future.

I am saying yes to both number 1 and number 2. For number 1, it is always a good strategy to invest not just on a single thing. It is always advisable to invest on something else so that whatever may happen to your single investment, the other one is still there. You will always have a safety net so to speak if you have different investments. The same is true to number 2. Diversification is always a good move.

That’s a good question to ask as one can get estimate of how much crowd is actually into crypto, mixed into crypto as well as real stocks etc and only the later one too.

For me I have little investment into real estate business but nothing more than that. Whatever I have other than that is into crypto only. This was not the initial case but now I have started investing into crypto a lot and it’s more or less habit for me.

i don't hold altcoins but i diversify into them if you can call what i do as diversification! i am mostly a trader when it comes to altcoins, i am mostly scared of their future since i have seen the dark side of them and i know how big the dumps can potentially be.

as for other things, i have invested in gold and stocks but these days i don't have any of them. i am fully in bitcoin and will probably stay like this for a couple of more months.

If you diversify you spread the risk. I wish I could have the funds to diversify more, but for now I have Bitcoin and a number of altcoins. I didn't get to make the step for bonds, metals and businesses. Maybe if Bitcoin and my alts grow more

yes not only in bitcoin but to my all investment i diversify them all whether its in stock market forex market its just different treatment and approach on how i'm gonna handle the situation on where i'm investing and trading, because by diversifying you minimize the risk by not putting all your eggs in one basket.

1. No, not yet but I am planning on investing in a real life investment such as stocks and having my own business. This my form of assurance since I am not certain about the life of cryptocurrency as a whole. It may go extinct at any time so having a real life investment is a must for me. I am hoping the cryptocurrency will stay, though.

2. I am currently holding tokens but I am not saying that this is diversification. I am also planning on converting these into BTC and/or ETH any time soon and after that, that may be called diversifying since I'll have some coins other than Bitcoin.

It's yes for me for both 1 and 2. For number 1, its important that you don't rely on a single asset. Everything can go down and not having back up would be one of the biggest mistake you can commit. For number 2, i've been trading for a year now and i've invested in coins that  i felt would be profitable in the future. Etherium and ripple are some coins that i have stored

I have my wallet diversified: 30% BTC, 20% ETH and 50% other coins. - It’s quite risky wallet but profits are also nice (so far…).
