Have a little more money to invest in crypto. I'm a little anxious to buy now as I speculate there may be a nice pull back on the price post-fork. I'd like to buy some BTC and some alt coins with about half of it.
Worth getting now and getting some B2X or wait til after the fork?

They have teached us to buy into the fatal dips lasting days. They teached us to not fear the forks, because of free altcoin distribution. Gold, Cash, whatsnot. Since you said "a little money" where is your risk? Why wait? A more Gung-ho attitude and do it today, since waiting doesn't increase it's value anyways. Remember fiat getting dilluted by central banks on a daily base. |

There will always be highs, always be lows. The chance of BTC never returning to the 3-4000 zone is slim to say the least. I've sold 50% of my BTC at €5100, hoping to buy back under 4k, and will sell the other half if BTC approaches 6K.

no dont buy now wait after the fork there's a chance that the price of bitcoin become low ,if there's a fork there's a panic time so many investor withdraw there bitcoin in that time ,i experience that this august fork bitcoin down by half so better is to wait after the fork,i only experience one fork this answer base in my speculation in this year only |

I think there will be a slight fall-off. Nothing to write home about. If you're going to invest do so now. Following the Fibonacci sequence, I honestly think it will reach in and around $8,000 after the slight pull back. Just my 2 cents.

There is no sure way to know how the price will trade before and after the fork.
Probably safe to buy half position before and keep some cash handy to buy the other
half afterwards.

If you have extra money its better to invest it to bitcoin and possible that your money will grow the because the price of bitcoin continue to increase. But it's up to you if you want to buy bitcoin or you can wait more weeks to price fall before you buy. Brcause no one can know the actual happen to the bitcoin in the next few weeks or even before and after the fork.

No one can predict the current bitcoin price, if you want to buy why have to wait. Buy much as you can, you will not regret it in the future.

It is obviously impossible to predict with certainty what will happen but I would say it is more likely that the price will increase than decrease leading up to and following the fork so I would buy now.

But that will be so long, this time the bitcoin seems get another little correction but we are know about what will be happening in the future about the middle of november, 2x fork for bticoin. That will be a good thing to buy at the cheap price. |

A very hard question ). I would prefer altcoins instead of buying bitcoin nowadays or wait a little bit to buy bitcoin. I think bitcoin price may drop a bit on november.

Just bought half of what I've put aside for crypto. Good idea, it should temper my disappointment if it goes down to 4K right after the fork. |

Too risky to wait until the fork, if I may say so. In fact, it is more likely to surge even higher all the way up to Segwit2x where you can take profits at 10 to 15 % at minimum before it will fall back to the levels today. But do not be surprised if even the fork does not bring it back below $6000. All these forking businesses seem to have strengthened Bitcoin time after time. Then again, SW2x is the most powerful of all the forks. Be ready for surprises. |

if your point about having more BTC is to buy alts and you think you can make good profits by trading BTC for alts, then the sooner you get your BTC the better. if instead your priority is to maximize how much BTC you can get for your fiat, then i'd wait. if segwitx2 is going to be what it intends to be, we may have substantial FUD and general drop in the markets around the fork. i'm personally betting on that as an entry point for more fiat. but again, it's a bet and may well prove wrong.

I think that the OP wanted to say he doesn't have a lot of money to spend on investment and that's why it should be done in the best possible way. OP, I think it is better to wait for a couple of weeks. The price always falls down at some point. I don't think it will fall more than 15% though, so if this is not much for you according to your budget then feel free to invest right now. IMO, BTC price will rise nearer to the fork. I will buy now if I were you.
It has already grown due to btg fork, I don't think people will really do the same thing again. I don't like this price growings being related to forks.. I guess it's a substitute for what eth and neo have with icos. It's a factor which may lead to even more unstable prices than we are used to. |
